Our Incomes Are Falling Behind: Earnings in the Canadian Provinces and US States, 2010–2022 (fraserinstitute.org)

Short version, back in 2014 or so and earlier many of our provinces earned more on average per person than many states.

Now every single state in the united states has a higher average income per person than every single one of our province's.

In other words our very best is still worse than they're very worst.

We've fallen so far behind it's not even funny. And yet our real estate prices and cost of living is higher than the US

It is hard to fully understand exactly how much of a disaster the last 10 years have been for us. And how difficult it would be to catch up and regain what we've lost

Well yes, for once you managed to achieve correctness, although not for the reasons you poorly attempted to convey.

News from the "institute: that is dedicated to promoting it's own version of Project 2025 since the 1980s.
Never published anything of benefit to the people, only for the benefit of corporations. Sort of like the Taxpayer's Federation, never about your taxes, only about your boss's taxes.

Just a couple of things worth noting "our incomes" = per/capita income. Median is the income at the exact center. This is a very minor point but as a pensioner I make more than the 30,000 reported for British Columbia. More note worthy is that they use the Canadian dollar.  Again no big deal except that the exchange rate meant that their dollar was worth 1.35 Canadian. I read the article but didn't see how they controlled for this variable.

Sure, but if your wife makes less (which is the case with many) then it's an average

At the end of the day the issue you're kind of dancing around and not addressing is that by reasonable comparable metrics we have fallen vastly behind the US.

And that also means our ability to collect tax incomse and provide services has fallen behind.

we've never been behind.  We've always had some provinces higher than some states and vice versa.

I don't think most people realize what a catastrophe this is.

You don't get it. That's the point. This isn't just about trudeau anymore. Even if trudeau were gone tomorrow the damage done is now insane.

That's what makes liberal supporters like you so dangerous. You think this is no big deal, just 'trudeau bad' and when he's gone problem over.  Nope -  we have NEVER seen this much damage done to our economy and infrastructure before, not even close. His dad was probably the next worse on the list and even he didn't do this much damage.

This is horrible. And we're going to need to have a talk about this at some point because it will mean lower services and more poverty and we're going to have to make some decisions about what's important to us if we're ever going to fully recover.

"trudeau bad" is what losers who want it to be ok to vote for the same people and party again after he's left the party say.

Well that's kind of what you'd expect a emotionally troubled  leftist who keeps losing arguments and who can't refute facts that he doesn't like to say :)

Poor little guy :)  Still emotionally traumatized I see. I'd like to go easier on you but unfortunately facts or facts

He is drunk.

I have been sh**faced, high as a kite and could still tie my shoes. Mind you, comical when drunk.

Have a conversation, etc.

He looks like he would struggle with velcro straps on kids sneakers, front clasping bras on the wife with a flat chest, let alone debate when sober with his spell check on and Wikipedia tab open.

Kid - you can't even have a conversation when you're sober :)  You're not that bright but more importantly you're obviously mentally damaged.  You literally deleted 7 pages of posts just because you lost an argument and are now following me around posting little insults that wouldn't manage to offend a 10 year old while i laugh at you :)

You're a mess.

I don't know why all the drunk ones wind up fixating on me. :)
