I’d rather we all chip in and give them a place to live and food, if they want it. It’s the least our taxes should do. Quote

Some people just can't find a shelter because the existing shelters are all full. I don't think they all receive food from government. Some receive food from food kitchens like the Salvation Army. It's complicated. There is no simple solution and there are many problems. That's why when we see one begging on the street, we don't know what his situation is. But he or she is asking for help. Might be.. Or it could be used for beer and illicit drugs. Also, they might be ok with life on the street. I was homeless for 9 weeks once. I was floored by how many other fellow homeless were in no rush to get off the street. I could not wait. I had to be fairly creative but once I was back to normal life, I vowed to never leave myself with no options like that time. Quote
