All of a sudden they notice the shambling, the mumbling, the gaffes, the minute-long sentences with 16 words, the lost trains of thought, the hiding from interviews, the everything... Polls have 73% of Demi voters suddenly pulling their heads out of their asses for long enough to realize that Joe is too old to run again. This doesn't come as a surprise to conservatives, we've suspected that he'd step aside for a while now so that the Dems could stage a quasi-democratic nomination process. I think the other side of the coin is: "OMG, LOOK HOW BAD BIDEN IS NOW... TRUMP WILL BE THIS OLD AT THE END OF THE NEXT TERM. TRUMP IS TOO OLD!" There's literally no comparison between where Trump's mental health is now compared to Biden's in 2020. Trump can speak 5x as fast for 10 times as long with 1/10th of the gaffes. But brace yourself: the Demis are going to run a huge campaign to use Biden's problems against Trump. But - there's no doubt that Trump has the advantage right now strongly. He's got good polling but more importantly he's got momentum. Momentum cannot - CANNOT - be underestimated in political campaigns. Those with positive momentum tend to keep climbing and growing stronger and it requires less effort to maintain that and those with negative momentum will tend to sink and it requires much more effort to correct that. (as justin is finding out). So it's looking good for trump right now but a lot can happen in the next 8 and change months. We will see if he can maintain it. The one big problem for biden is that he's going to have to do something to really 'wow' people to break out of his slump.
