Combined replies to different posters

Why does this happen? Even after deleting a combined post and trying again it happens.  My apologies if this has already been asked.

It combines your replies within a thread if they’re made within a certain timeframe of each other.

I can see the utility of combing posts on occasion but not having any control over it other than my patience will probably only make me more impatient.  Any idea what that timeframe is?

It is overly difficult to accomplish. A glitch this forum software has never addressed. IE addressing quotes within quotes to the wrong poster.
Kind of like how MSoft updates Windows with heaps of new features and fails to address simple but annoying problems with it since Windows 3.

I’m not sure.  But I like the feature.

Try cutting and pasting things into a word doc, editing that and then copy/paste that into your reply. Like you have to do on FB to format anything.

@herbie Whenever you're using a WYSIWYG editor, you're gonna get wonkiness from time to time.

The best feature in the editor to use is the Remove Format button - which will remove any HTML/CSS styling and force the text back to basic plain text.
