CdnFox Posted January 13, 2024 Report Posted January 13, 2024 (edited) So this guy smashes in the head of a cop, kills him, and gets 5 years. Minus credits for time served which are basically double what he actually served. 5 years for murdering a cop. Tell me all about how Canada isn't broken. https://vancouver.citynews.ca/2024/01/11/abbotsford-officer-death-sentence-nelson/ Police say Alex Willness was sentenced Thursday to five years, less time served, with a credit of 405 days. Const. Allan Young was taken to the hospital in critical condition on July 16, 2020. He had been assaulted while intervening in what was described as “a disturbance” in the B.C. Interior community, being hit in the head with a skateboard. The 55-year-old died days later. Willness was eventually arrested and charged in connection the case, and was found guilty in June 2023. I can't figure out what that stupid square is in that post or how to get rid of it. Maybe he could chime in on that as well Quote There are two types of people in this world: Those who can extrapolate from incomplete data
Army Guy Posted January 15, 2024 Report Posted January 15, 2024 I think it has something to do with the water out there, BC is just a shit magnet when it comes to strange stuff...But on the bright side he was handed a life time ban from owning firearms...and some how that makes sense how...anyone...Maybe a life sentence would be a more reasonable thing, rather than banning him from owning a firearm... Yeah. He killed someone with a skateboard so we banned him from owning guns, because if we didn't THEN he'd be dangerous. Problem solved! No need to lock him up for too long. And no need ban him from owning skateboards or anything. TO be honest we're seeing stories like this from all over canada. Tonnes of them from ontario, there's the police and family killers in Manitoba and Saskatchewan and Alberta has this kind of weirdness so often the newspapers dont' even think it's worth reporting as much. The problem is the changes to the laws. In 2017 trudeau put in new laws that were really soft on criminals and basically let everyone out on bail regardless and then the courts softened a few more laws and trudeau did nothing about it, and now the problems are pretty epic and out of control. If this is the case that happened in Nelson, I don't have enough information, other than they were both intoxicated. Some people said the cop attacked the accused and the accused defended himself? But your guess is as good as mine...if not better. 1 Quote A Conservative stands for God, King and Country

Considering he was convicted i think we can rule out self defence. 1 Quote There are two types of people in this world: Those who can extrapolate from incomplete data
