Yeah, well, you are ignoring what they’re saying, because true plagiarism would have gotten her fired.

True plagiarism DID get her fired. Well, it got her sent back to the Political Science Department, but she really should've been banished from the school.

Quoting your article:

”A review ordered by Harvard acknowledged "duplicative language" and missing quotation marks, but it concluded the errors "were not considered intentional or reckless" and didn't rise to misconduct.”

It was her comment about Israel, and her failure to correct her statement, that got her booted.

No no - conservative plot all the way you see :)  Nothing to do with plagerism or israel :)

THe paper says so so it must be true.

And if there was zero plagerism she woudln't have resigned.  Kind of sounds like you're ignoring the facts as well.

She did plagerize. That seems to be undisputed.  The university seems to be saying that the lack of documentation of the source does not seem to be intentional.' I haven't read what she plagerized so it's hard to comment on how easy or hard it would be to "accidentally' include it.

So it seems like if there was to be a debate here that would be what it would focus on, whether the plagerizm is something that a reasonable academic would have noticed and realized was improper or if she just repeated a term or something she considered to be common knowledge but should have had a cite.

The funny part is how wheather she was wrong by intent or wrong by accident - it's the conservatives' fault :)

Harvard Can’t Have a President Who Plagiarizes. But America *Can* Have a President Who Coups

Quote

I think we can agree that if plagiarism would get a student kicked out of Harvard then the president of Harvard can’t have committed plagiarism, yes? That makes sense. We need some standards.

So a question for the people braying for Claudine Gay’s scalp these last couple of weeks: What is your opinion on Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential bid?

Because it seems to me that anyone outraged that a mere plagiarist could hold the relatively humble position of university president would be spending every ounce of their strength trying to prevent a man who has been convicted of having committed sexual assault, is under 91 felony indictments, and who incited a motherforking insurrection to be President of the United States.

But you don’t see a lot of that, do you? Quite the opposite. Most of the people who were most exercised about Claudine Gay’s misdeeds are either anti-anti-Trump, or objectively pro-Trump.

More Republicon HYPOCRISY.

It seems like whenever a leftist icon is busted for something that's completely beyond the pale they either find a fall guy, like Kevin Cinesmith or Bill Morneau, or turf them for a lesser offence.

That was the case with Gov Cuomo, who forbade covid tests on patients coming back into care homes, but he was theoretically fired for some minor butt-grabs and pecks on the cheek.

Now the president of "We love terrorist attacks and bullying Jewish kids" Hravrd is getting fired for some old incidents of plagiarism...

Ho hum...

If the Cultist Narrative Network/Cultist Broadcasting Corporation gave an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of typewriters, leftists would believe everything they typed.
