The leftards here once again prove their blue state schools are vastly inferior.

Too many of these bozos refer to socialism as ANY government spending, and all welfare (payment to the poor, business subsidies, etc)  as socialism. It's embarrassing to be around such stupidity and ignorance.

https://www.heritage.org/economic-and-property-rights/report/comparing-free-enterprise-and-socialism

State ownership of the means of production is the central tenet of traditional socialist or communist thought.1 Traditional socialist and communist economic policies involve state-owned enterprises and a high degree of state control over all aspects of economic life.2

Got that? CHILDREN?

Some idi0ts even refer to taxation as socialism.

Here's the deal, class:

1. Government levy's taxes in order to  pay for the legitimate functions of government: (Protecting the nation's safety and rights.) Taxes are collected from PRIVATE businesses and  PRIVATE citizens. Since business is  PRIVATELY OWNED and not owned by government, it is not socialism.

2. If the people paying taxes decide on government spending on other items, (such as welfare to the stupid, paying dumbass high school sluts to have babies and lose the fathers) that's called DEMOCRACY. PRIVATE individuals VOTE on those items.

3. PRIVATE individuals voting on legislatures that vote to decide the people's business basically vote on a REPUBLICAN form of government. (Long before the term Republican became known as the ANTI SLAVERY, ANTI JIM CROW party, it was a form of government.)

This is elementary school level civics.  Some of you dumbasses here REALLY need to do some reading.

Hey, lefties, how about learning the actual meaning of the concept "Socialism."

a political and economic theory of social organization which advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole.

What isn't there to get? Most of us have the real fundamentals down by the time we graduate Kindergarten. It's not rocket science.

Do the kindergartens in Florida focus instead on the principles of capitalism or crime and punishment or something?

A government without public oversight is like a nuclear plant without lead shielding.

Kindergarten teachers in FL don't know about any of those things cause they're ONLY HS grads at best.

interesting how very, very few have read the book, Das Kapital, but yet they are experts on it and the author, Karl Marx. The internet is a great thing but it makes faux experts who while passionate actually know nothing.

The main thing to understand is that Marx's ideas were put into play by arseholes who placed little to no value on human life. In the hands of decent human beings things likely would have turned out much differently. Mind you the same is probably just as true of capitalists.

really confusing. we have people who identify as "right wing" stating in other threads that western democracies are being controlled by woke socialists and yet this thread from someone similar states that western democracies are completely not socialist at all.

but anyways, again... all western economies are mixed economies. which means state-owned enterprises are part of that mix.

Mixed economy

State-owned enterprise

what the blind don't get is that all of those "woke" issues are just red herrings.. excuses to get people upset about the ultimate downfall of western civilization when really its just a handful of people who want to use a different word to describe themselves (who cares)!

all politics is just who pays taxes and who has access to natural resources and government money. nothing else really matters.

Most liberals in blue states are not as educated at the 9th grade as Florida kindergarteners. That's how stupid libs are.

What isn't there to get? Oh, how about the goose steppers here referring to ANY government spending as socialism? We'll start with that.

Florida third grade students are smarter and better educated than socially promoted high school grads.

ALL teachers in the state of Florida have to have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in order to be able to certify to teach. Also, in the state of Florida union membership is totally voluntary and not a requirement for certification. This by itself makes Florida superior to all other blue states combined.

And what in the name of frikking fck does this have to do with the subject of the thread: The correct definition  of socialism?

You probably brought home a lot of bad report cards before dropping out of school, huh?

Actually, you can get the entire socialist platform in The Communist Manifesto, which is only 60 pages.

Okay. Goose-steppers - you mean Nazis right?... So which ones, here in this forum, throughout our governments or sneaking around outside the wire surrounding your house? Start with that.

They're usually everywhere you know.

Yep. Poeple

No, the problem is humans are always corruptible and corrupted, in all walks of life. You'll find them in the valleys, and in the hills, in small towns and great cities. All across this vast land,

ass-holes abound, my friend

(A minor on the guitar...)

That's right. It's what people did with it not what it did with people.  Marx's theory about a need for revolution did not say anything about a need for violence or a trapping of power that required a sociopathic attitude.  Neither did Adam Smith's theories.

I know one hell of a lot more nicer honest people than I do ass-holes and I suspect you and most of the people in this forum can say the same thing about the circles they're around.

You better contact Scoot and tell them to stop lying.

No problem! A high school diploma is all you need to become a substitute teacher with Scoot Education. Generally, schools within Florida counties have easy-to-meet educational requirements for substitute teachers. These vary from county to county; from high school diploma to 60 or more college credits.Sep 7, 2023

No, I got my MSEE and made 10x what you do before I retired early even though they wanted me back.

That is a fcking LIE. In the THREE Florida counties I sub in, a bachelor's degree is minimum. As usual, your bullshit sources have it wrong.
