how do people stop living in the past when they have no where to live in the present?

you fail to recognize that Hamas's inflammatory rhetoric is only a reaction to Israels own inflammatory rhetoric.

‘No such thing’ as Palestinian people, top Israeli minister says

"“There is no such thing as a Palestinian nation. There is no Palestinian history. There is no Palestinian language,” he said in France late Sunday. He spoke at a lectern draped with what appeared to be an image showing the map of Israel that included the occupied West Bank, Gaza and Jordan."

AND JORDAN!

if you read anything about the peace processes that have come and gone over the years then you would know that the rhetoric doesn't matter! the major sticking point is always... LAND. Israel claims all the LAND that they take from non-Jews by force. PERIOD.

if one agrees that any LAND that Israel can take by force is theirs and theirs alone to be subsequently used as they feel fit against many stipulations of the Geneva Conventions then so be it. you are for Israel no matter what anyone says.

You make a decision to not kill your neighbours and then you start to work it out. Pretty simple.  Gaza was not 'occupied'.  Gaza was there for the people. They had somewhere to live.

Then they chose violence.  Now their homes are rubble.  They brought that on themselves.

The major sticking point to peace is that gaza doesn't want peace. Everything else is utter bullshit.  Fix that - and the rest of the problems are manageable.

Oh - and here's how those poor, innocent,  peace loving friends of yours treat prisoners:

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/doctor-who-treated-freed-hamas-hostages-describes-physical-sexual-and-psychological-abuse/

"There's not a single person that came back that didn't have a significant physical injury or a medical problem. On top of that, some of them were getting medication, to look better than they actually were."

There were also stories of hostages being branded (a common practice inflicted on Jews and other prisoners of Nazi concentration camps during the Holocaust), and of being sexually abused. "Yes, we did see signs of branding," Pessach said. "We definitely saw signs of being handcuffed. We did hear and see evidence of sexual abuse in a significant part of the people we have treated. We also heard evidence – and that was one of the hardest parts – of abuse against those that [are still there], both physical and sexual."

Rape, torture, branding, drugging them to make them look 'more natural' for the cameras, psychological torture. etc etc.  Why on earth would the israelis possibly distrust these fine people?

again, why are Israelis populating the west bank?

Again, doesn't matter.  The war is in gaza.  If they're doing something on the west bank they shouldn't then great - we should complain as a nation and we should tell them not to but that has ZERO to do with this current conflict.

Here's a question seeing as i answered yours - if the people are so upset about having thousands of civillians killed why are the hamas forces hiding behind and amongst the people and if they don't want their women and children killed why do they have them running ammo and supplies and scouting for them while none of their forces wear a uniform in an active combat area?

Canada joins EU, Britain, others decrying 'extremist settler' violence in West Bank

"Israel, as the occupying power, must protect the Palestinian civilian population in the West Bank,"

Well there you go - see? Seperate issue being dealt with separately.   Gaza is it's own mess.

West bank doesn't slaughter civvies and is getting international support.  Gaza slaughers civvies by the thousand and the gets its own people killed and is now getting bombed into ash. Gaza has lost 10,000 people - west bank 8.

Clearly the west bank is doing a better job.  ANd they can work to exert diplomatic pressure on israel and force change there over time if they do the right thing. Siding with hamas in the past wasn't very smart but - hindsight being 20 20 and all.

Sounds like the israelis there are taking out their frustrations on the Palestinians there and that's not ok.  But it's got nothing to do with what's happening in Gaza

are you talking about The Clinton Parameters?

this did indeed seem to get very close... its been 23 years though. all of these participants are gone. the Trump/Kushner peace plan was a joke.

this is a highly asymmetric conflict. Israel holds all the cards and can make this go away but they don't want it to go away because... they are in the drivers seat.

This surprises you?

Notes to poster:

1. Try not attacking much stronger countries.

2. The idea in a war...is to win.

Thus ends our lesson for the terminally silly.

It's a little like the canucks declaring war on the maple leafs  and then complaining about golf.

you don't read! thats the problem. hundreds of Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank in 2023. just like every other year.

why does Israel keep populating the west bank?

you don't answer.

I've answered many times.  Your lack of comprehension skills is not my problem.  It does explain why you don't understand this conflict tho.

You fail to recognize that Hamas doesn't use any rhetoric whatsoever. They mean what they say. They won't be happy until they commit genocide against the Israelis. There is no plan B.
