This forum is the third or fourth incarnation of an original forum a handful of us have been members of for 20 years or more.

the optimum word there is "handful." Don't get me wrong, I am not being critical, just curious as to why this site isn't being promoted more to bring in a wider range of debaters.

I came across this completely by accident, it's not exactly being promoted or advertised. When I do a web search for "political debate forums" this one is certainly not near the top of sites being displayed. It is what it is, how long someone like myself will hang in there is another question. Depends how many people I have to spank for having the wrong views. ?

Debate forums are kind of exclusive thing. No one else I know does this.

It has become apparent that this has become a dumping ground for the most racist individuals imaginable. I have NO ISSUE discussing difference of opinion, but one only has to read the exchanges I've had in my time on here with certain individuals that the racism just oozes out of them. If this is all this place has to offer, I will gladly bow out, so that those I have been arguing with can ridicule me to their leisure.

In my personal experience, I've realized the power of choice, particularly when it comes to engaging with certain individuals.

• It may provide a more comfortable environment to express opinions and engage in discussions. 
• It is private property here after all, as "In Rome", however, do consider staying and engaging with folks and test yourself how often the beast needs to come out. 
• It is a struggle between the human element and the beast within at the end is my opinion. 

Hard to do when there are SO FEW like yourself here willing to debate issues rather than whining about how any discussion of race or  history is an attack on white people. Ironic too, as I am white myself. And they call me a "snowflake", sheesh.
