Judge strikes down mandatory minimum sentence for inviting a child under the age of 16 to sexual touching (90 days is too much)

So under Canadian law inviting a child under the age of 16 to sexual touching carries a mandatory minimum sentence of 90 days. That's right, 90 whole days.

 

However in a decision that was handed down this may judge Christian Lyons who was appointed by Trudeau of course Claimed that the 90-day sentence would "outrage standards of decency to the extent that reasonable members of the public would find the punishment abhorrent or intolerable"

He called this mandatory minimum sentence "Cruel and unusual punishment"

It's worth noting that in explaining why this is the case he could only come up with imaginary or hypothetical examples.

 

I don't know about you guys, but somehow I just don't see 90 days as being a truly unfair amount of time for someone that has lured a child to sexual touching to have to serve. Our justice system is broken. The liberal judges appointed by Trudeau seem to spend every day thinking of how to let bad guys out on the streets faster.

In a small Nunavut community, in the early morning of July 21, 2021, 27-year-old SS was drinking with a couple in their home and was intoxicated. At some point SS entered a bedroom in the home where the couple’s 13-year-old daughter and her 14-year-old female friend were. He asked the girls to have sex with him, and offered them alcohol and cigarettes, but they refused multiple times. He offered the girls thirty-five dollars each to remove their pants, which was captured on cellphone video. This request was also refused. SS then ceased.

They’ve watered down sentencing because ethics are mocked in Canada.  Look only to the legalization of hard drugs, the ease of state-assisted suicide, and the indoctrination of children to embrace alternative sexualities and identities.  This is the logical conclusion.

A recent true case in Ukraine: a judge who let off lightly a few of drunk drivers got himself into a serious drunk accident with military, got arrested, stripped of the privileges and is awaiting trial in jail. Just came to mind, wonder why?

Wait, but they have the police and prosecution working there, not only on traffic offenses.

It's called "ruling from the bench". 

We pay to hold elections, to fly MPs and staffers to and from Ottawa, pay for their lodgings, they write bills and get them enacted into laws and then a maverick judge decides "Nope: the whole democracy process means nothing. I got this one."

So it was a Trudeau judge who decided that little native girls don't deserve the basic protection from sexual predators that's written into our legal system, but ten years from now the judge will just be remembered as "a cisgender male cracker" and the assumption will be that it was conservatives who mocked those girls' situation.

The country is becoming some kind of a parody.. no? OK: what works here as it should, to the standard of a modern, responsible and representative democracy? Please, name a few or at least one.

You can force young people who don't need a vaccine to take it even if it's known to be ineffective and dangerous, and you can solicit sex from children with no worries - you only go to jail if they accept and you get caught.

Canada is headed in a direction under the Trudeau gov't, that's for sure.
