Gender equality is relatively recent in sports and Canadian women are certainly achieving more than can be expected from gender proportion in the population. If however it was reflected based on male performance, Canada would have gotten 12-13 medals. And then one can predict that it shouldn't take long for other countries to catch up. Yes it shows if women are given equal opportunities then they can achieve a lot more for the nation and their country and Canada is a good example of that. This achievement goes to the black hearts and retarded brains of those dirty bearded sub humans around the world especially in Middle East who as leaders or individuals are suppressing women's rights and opposing women's equality. Well according to the liberal government women in Canada are not represented equally every where, like the Armed forces or RCMP or most other civil services departments, who are now actively recruiting or trying to recruit females and females minorities. and women over represented in others like nursing, engineering , hair dressers, etc..., but there is no drive to make those jobs equal represented.... And well i believe in equal rights being in the Infantry or tank corp or any hard army trade does not draw many women, and does not look good on some politicians white board in some graph. which most times does not reflect reality in the real world... Equal opportunities is not ALWAYS the answer, we should always hire the best candidate for the job, not because you wear a skirt and if the old boys network is getting in the way replace them with new smarter candidates.
