Well, Japan attacked North America in 1941.

And Europe (Germany) attacked Asia (Russia) in 1941 too.

Europe seems to have frequent, very violent wars: 1630, 1815, 1914, 1939, 1992 - involving others?

The Middle East - it seems at peace now.

This is all about conflict of superpowers, not countries.

The Americans dropped the bomb in 1945 - twice. (I once thought that Truman was showing Stalin his hand; well, he was.)

It ended a war - and Japan got the lesson.

Your did not address Ow's point. There is no peace in the Middle East. The press is just cut covering it anymore or other international conflicts as their journalistsxare not travelling. The people of the ME would probably want to know where this peace is.

You know any Syrians,  Kurds, Yazidi, Israelis, Palestinians, Coptics, Bahaiis, gays, trade unionists, journalists, students, Iraqis, Pers iui and, Yemenis, labourers from the ME? For God's sake  man, email one..peace uh no. Try take a  boat ride in the South China seas or Strait of Hormuz.

a) The Japanese attacked Pearl Harbour in 1941 and invaded Australia/attacked Sri Lanka/occupied Malaysia/China. To defeat ultimately the Japanese, Americans wisely developed/dropped two atomic bombs on Japanese cities. 

b) Russia/Soviet Union? After Vietnam and Reagan, they got the message.

c) Middle East? Nowadays, Israel can defend itself.

The original post is totally flawed. The Americas (the US) has done more crimes than any other continent. The US over decades have armed murderous dictators all over the world like South and Central America, Middle East, South East Asia. Remember Vietnam war when millions died because of US military interventions and murderous acts by US in there. Remember the coups when elected democratic nationalist governments were removed by US? like in Chile in 1973 and in Iran in 1953 and the latter still paying a high price for it by having a murderous regime taken over? And Middle East is at peace???!!!!. Middle East is the center of terrorism and is dominated by corrupt murderous regimes like those in Iran, Syria, Arabia, Israel and Iraq and many others.

If US is so powerful why they can't even control within their own borders? Covid-19 pandemic is the absolute worst in the US and so far has killed nearly 150,000 Americans and new cases increasing at a rate of 30,000+ a day.

Vietnam, Cambodia? Both are now more successful following free market principles. Chile too. (Socialist Venezuela/Cuba are disasters.)

Note: I thank the guys who fought in Vietnam. Like Dunkerque, it was an important battle in a war that we ultimately won.

America won the Cold War. The Soviet Union no longer exists. Thank God.

Yes Vietnam is successful now because of the sacrifices they made against French and Americans and because they kicked them both out and they won the war otherwise they would be having a corrupt western puppet regime sucking the blood of its people. Chile for decades under an American puppet dictator was a military dictator and eventually they came out of it gradually but still not a democracy. Soviet Union like Russia today was a corrupt dictatorship who occupied half the Europe. They fall eventually just like all other dictators in other parts of the world. The Iran regime will fall the same way but the seeds the Americans planted in Iran in 1953 still is ruining the lives of that nation and many are in jails and under torture or awaiting executions. The Apes still ruling in Iran thanks to CIA coup and British imperialism.

Like Dunkerque, America fought/lost an important Vietnam Battle - just as Russia lost Rostov/Crimea. Lost battles in a larger war.

 But as victors, the American government has no desire to occupy Vietnam.

You are like a Soviet historian and as Reagan said a good Soviet historian is the one who predicts the past accurately (they falsify the true event and turn around everything to turn own advantage). There are still videos of American leaving their dead and wounded and their Vietnamese colleagues who served them for decades and running away from Vietnam, throwing their arms and helicopters in the sea and the Vietcong taking over the entire country and now you the new historian declare that America won Vietnam war!!!!!!!!!!!. 

The world is a much better place without the dreadful Soviets and their corrupt murderous communist puppets and the West led by the US won the cold war. So hail to America in this regard but still that doesn't change the history and crimes they committed all over the world for decades.

Prior to August 1914 in Vienna and Lviv, like Canada or California today, many people of different languages, different religions lived together in peace.
