Indeed....so what??   Maybe he drives some people nuts........ but  I doubt   it. I think he is such a personality  that his personality over shadows his  efforts.......

I do think he could have done a much better job   about the virus issue.  A leader should  set an example.....of behavior    and evidence  of what  is recommended by the  Health experts.

He does not even follow his own guidelines.  ........and should be wearing a mask when he greets people. Particularly now.....with two staffers   resting positive.

He does make a  good  study  n psychology....... ..

But you have stated that Trump is really just a reflection of America (agreed) ...good and bad...with many competing interests....so set expectations accordingly.

The "health experts" have been found to be very lacking in this pandemic, from the WHO on down, with poor foundation from the beginning...learning along the way same as the rest of us.

Compared to his "leadership" peers around the world, Trump has done better and worse than others, but they do not garner so much attention.

Why ?    Because they are not Trump.

His TF ratings are so high because he's doing such an amazing job. Truly fantastic. People say he's doing the greatest job ever.

If the Cultist Narrative Network/Cultist Broadcasting Corporation gave an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of typewriters, leftists would believe everything they typed.

the  people drank the cool aid.   ..He has smoozed them into believing whatever he says.   the problem is that he is a pathological liar. Not your garden variety   politician type liar.....but   psychologically   pathological.   It is interesting  that so many actually believe  what he utters.  They are probably the die hards  that  do not tolerate any criticism of their  leader.

No.....they are NOT  trump and DO NOT WANT to BE. Many hare been  handling this crisis very well...... and not  grandstanding about  it.  They are too  busy trying to contain    the virus    and help their population  with the knowledge  available.   They don't have to showoff to the world. CNN and CBC said that he did awful, and that Trudeau did great, and that's the kool-aid. You're actually spewing the kool-aid but you don't know it. That's how that type of Kool-Aid works.

Then theirs is a warped and biased perspective when and where pandemic body count matters.

The world need not watch Trump....but it does...especially Canada.

America will do America...navel gazers from abroad can't help but watch...long before Trump.

Nope....they care more about what Trump does than what he says...or how he says it.

Big difference.....

Yes..that would appear to be the case. ins some  situations. But not all.  There are plenty to whom his quirks matter  and  are seen as destructive.

OK...same as any other U.S. president.   Voters will react accordingly....there will be another election soon...the U.S. has them like clockwork.

It's America's choice...over and over again.

Trump could win another term...or he could lose.   That's how America rolls.

The world watches...long before Trump.

Why  the hostility??  No need to make it personal.  If you disagree...then say why...thanks.

Now back to the virus   and How Trump is "handling" it. ;-)

Of course.   that is all true.   But I kinda think that this time   the virus could be  distracting from the US election show . It is hard to tell what the next few months will  be like. HOPEFULLY...... we can get  a handle on it.......and resume some semblance of a new  and healthier normal.

Gotta go fornow.  Thanks  Bush/ cheney.   this was fun and  stay healthy.  ;-)

At least he's handling it.

If our PM would have handled this properly in Jan or Feb we'd have about 4,000 less deaths. If he would have just implemented travel bans at the end of Jan we'd be down by about 2,000 deaths.

If the Cultist Narrative Network/Cultist Broadcasting Corporation gave an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of typewriters, leftists would believe everything they typed.

Well.....  he probably ly could have done better.....but he still  took it  seriously.  He had to deal with his wife getting it   too.    he important thing is that the numbers are going down....... and w e have to keep it  that way.   Meanwhile the numbers are going up considerably  in the US. (and is now in the whitehouse.)   No Trump  did not handle it well.... and has  changed  positions  more often than   a  person changes their underwear.    He refuses to set an example    .....so of cores  the population   is not going to take  the situation seriously  The lack of supplies  for the  front line workers .  He would pick fights with  various governors. Instead of working together   to deal with this . Overall , it has been very disorganized.   There is more cohesion  in how CDA  is handling it. We are not out of the woods yet.......but   getting a bit closer.

but if one is " conservative.".....then nothing  Trudeau does is adequate;-)

He has made  mistakes......of course he has.  Lots of leader have.   This virus  caught  a lot of  us   off guard.   We in N.America  saw it as some Chinese thing....until it exploded.

Poor Boris Johnson  got the virus.....and  that threw  things off in  Britain. Germany has handled it  well.   Never thought I would be living  in  a world pandemic of this size.

The lives lost world wide  from this one virus....is astounding.

Well, the difference here is that Americans for the most part did not look to Canada for comparisons.   Canada has a habit of benchmarking itself against the U.S. for many different issues, from gun control to healthcare.   It is in Canada's DNA.

At U.S. scale, Canada would have about 46,000 deaths...better...but nothing to brag about.

And it was Trudeau who begged Trump and 3M for a PPE export agreement.  The U.S. Feds are not responsible as primary PPE supplier...FEMA is a limited surge capacity called on by states.

Begged???    IF that is the case......it must have made Trump  feel  so empowered... and important...which is important to him..

Trump has to be "handled"........... as  world leaders have found out. He is so erratic and unpredictable

Both countries have been h it by this virus....... and if ever   ,  we should all be working together to  beat the darn thing. Both countries are suffering  unemployment records........and this is not over. The health of  both nations is critical........ as if   this goes out of control........ there will  be no people   to  work    and re establish the economy.  Or maybe   the is little  concern  for   the dying  which are  the aged,  the minorities. This is a new virus.......and we are all learning.  Working together is   the ideal   thing in  this  common  problem.  Sharing information,  procedures,    would be beneficial..... as everyone benefits.  But Trump does not play nice with others....unless  they are a dictator   or he can use them.

So  why did Trump not wear a mask today when he met with the vets??   With the virus  in the white house...he could be a  carrier.   Why take a chance with these elderly   that  deserve so much respect.

Trump did what any national leader would do when his nation is faced with a shortage of PPE..."America First".

Very predictable....

Countries are working together....nothing special about Canada or America in that regard.   Trump is not going to relent from his rhetoric or actions just because of a pandemic.   "There will be no people" is an exaggeration.

He could be, but he is also tested every day.    He doesn't want to wear a mask for political reasons.

Political   reasons??  Don't think so...... He as much as admitted that he does not  look good  with a mask on.  VANITY  He could have it.....and depending on the incubation period  he could be spreading it.  again?  WY TAKE A CHANCE  with  such  important  elderly as the VETS?? It is a sheer lack of  respect and regard for them.   His actions speak volumes. about how little he c ares about others.    It is irresponsible and careless.   The problem is that most are too afraid  to tell him  what he should be doing.......as in his mind he knows better........ and can't  tolerate  being told anything.   He just reacts   by   shaming those  that he thinks offended him. It  does not take much to offend him.

No, Trump  will not change his ways   because of a pandemic.  Perish  the thought.  Everyone else  must do so    and follow protocols  recommended  by the health  professionals.     After all...he is exceptional........in HIS mind.  He  is behaving like a rebellious two year old.

Yes it is...Trump wants to portray himself as Trump, not Trump with a mask during a pandemic.   This is an election year in the United States.

Millions of people are not following "protocols", regardless of Trump.   Many Americans are not sheep, and do not expect their government to protect them from any and all perils.    That is Trump's base.....did I mention it is an election year ?

Many are not following protocols in the whole world...and that includes Canada, with people already pushing back against the lockdowns.

Why single out Trump, who has actually performed better than other national leaders (e.g. Europe) ?

No matter what Trump does, the Trump haters will never get past their personal animosity...so screw them from Trump's perspective.

The virus started in China...but it is not politically correct to say so.    Blame Trump instead...

The virus could have started any where.    Yes.... I  blame Trump for behaving in an irresponsible fashion.  I also  question the population   for  ignoring the protocols.   If they had  followed them......there is a good chance  the numbers would not be rising.   Can't blame them for not listening  to the Trump regime.   There is nothing consistent or  cohesive   coming from them.    And if  you can't respect the health professionals......... then  its the wild west   and everyone does as he sees fit. If folks are not able  or wiling to take a pandemic seriously.......... then  they deserve  any  fallout that comes their way. This applies to all nations.  In a wold  pandemic....... what each nation does MATTERS.

Blame Trump all you want...it does not matter in the least.

Same thing applies to other nations...like Canada...not just the USA.    But Trump gets and wants the focus...like moths to a flame.  Canadians were even watching Trump's daily task force briefings.....Americans were not watching Trudeau or Dr. Tam.

Dr. Fauci (expert) told America that coronavirus was not a threat to the U.S. in January....to worry more about influenza.

The world is never consistent or cohesive....entropy rules apply.

I guess the difference is that  CDA   is interested in is  neighbor   and  how it is doing.   It's neighbor  however could care less about anyone but itself. America first.  Just a total difference in attitude.

In fact   we are interested in other nations.   ..... . BBC is a  positive source of news  and info.   ..International.

We  are not isolative.  The US under Trump has become more isolated. If this is what you want  ...... it is your choice.   But you  want  it both ways......   to isolate and to   meddle  where you don't belong.

We are all living through something highly unusual. How we all handle it   is going to  go down in history....... to be learned from , examined,   and critiqued.
