Flattening the curve is a big deal because there are a lot of people under 50 who are getting acute symptoms ad needing ventilators. If they don't have enough ventilators the death toll could get stupid.

If it Covid's no longer a threat to life, and the drugs are available in mass amounts, the economy will be able to start back up right away.

IMO the longer these shutdowns last, the longer the economic recovery period will be.  

I simply prepare for the full spectrum of operations, up to and including worst case scenario

Then I just relax in the saddle

I don't anticipate contact, I just let things develop and initiate immediate actions as necessary

Otherwise I stay loose, I pace myself for a long war, if it doesn't materialize, I lose nothing

I just don't believe in slap on the wrist culture. The women who was arrested in Quebec, should have some form of punishment.. I just don't know what it is. You need punishments, during national emergencies, you need to have deterrent, or you up with a culture of entitlement.

I have a big issue with most of us, making huge sacrifices to stay indoors, while some infected person... thinks they have the right to go out and go shopping, or whatever she was planning on doing.

Also... if the virus mutates, it's good to have people in remote locations.... so they can stay alive to rebuild society in the worse case scenario.

Being brave, and getting yourself infected... is dumb idea.

Nobody threatened you, you brought up wanting people executed in a harsh realm, I simply expressed my opinion that you would be the one likely to be executed in the very harsh realm you are calling for

Nobody has any sympathy for a guy attacks war heroes like Army Guy, and you are publishing that world wide, so you are making a lot of enemies doing that, particulary if it is linked to a network of military veterans, in Canada, America and Europe

Only if they change the law to allow it, but the laws would need to change. No one has the right to take the law into their own hands.

If an infected person decides to go to a shopping mall, and spread it to 30 people, and 5 of those people die... I want capital punishment, under the law.

Capital Punishment laws are controversial, but this site is suppose to be about a peaceful exchange of ideas.

When you say another member of the forum deserves to die, you're crossing the line a little bit.

Whatever, I would just make sure you don't get doxxed, if I were you, going around the internet calling for people to be executed in a harsh realm, while attacking war heroes and openly stating that you were doing it with malicious intent.

Army Guy said I should be put in a straight jacket... Just because I want Canada producing bio suits. He wasn't having a civil debate. That's why he puts people off... He goes away over the top, on some personal attacks sometimes. It makes it easy for people like me to have fun with him.

I made a stupid comment without clarification. I want emergency laws to change and be tougher, on people who have a high probability of getting others killed.

There is a difference between pushing back for a minute, and creating grudges. I don't believe in grudges, so if anyone things I have a grudge against them I don't

You said you don't like a slap on the wrist culture, I agree, I don't invoke capital punishment, but those who maliciously attack war heroes and then crow about it should not be let off easy.

Bear in mind that Army Guy will never admit to being a war hero,  he wouldn't consider himself to be a hero, but he's heroic to me just for surviving thirty years in one of the most relentlessly professional and toughest regiments in the world.
