That's the funny part...so dysfunctional are Canada's pipeline and refinery politics...Saudi oil is still imported in the east.

Canada is in no position to battle China (or anybody else) on trade.   Too dependent on exports to the U.S. and American investments.

The pipeline is nowhere near being done....Canada is still importing sweet crude from the Saudis...and China won't even buy your canola seed now.

Team Trudeau has managed to really screw things up for Canada, with GDP actually shrinking one month last year.

The pipeline has existed for years. It just needs to be twinned. Team Trump has managed to really screw things up for the US. Only murderous dictators want to be near him, and he seems to like to be near them. Hopefully you are more aware of the actual US economy than to believe Trumps comments stating "the best economy ever". Here's a hint, look at the debt he has accrued.
