There has been a decline in birth rates all over the world, but yes much more can be done. In sub-Saharan Africa the decline has only be 37% between 1960 and 2006 compared to 61% in Asia and Latin America. Access to modern contraceptives would hep much more, but you do everything to stop that and then whine when they get pregnant. Quote

Where do you get this nonsense that I am against birth control for many third world countries? I believe in contraceptives for many of those impoverished countries like the ones you mentioned. Because of those countries and their having so many children it is costing, and has cost the Canadian taxpayer's billions of our tax dollars going to help these people who do not really deserve it. They need to get their crap together and start to use their brains and realize that too many children will lead to a continuation of their poverty I know that we are getting off topic here but you want my opinion you got it. cannuck Posted April 23, 2017 Report Posted April 23, 2017 Proud of you guys and gals. Overpopulation is indeed our #1 problem. 700% increase in the last century. As to rewarding reproductive irresponsibility: I have a simple solution - same one for the Human society as the Humane society - you want to be a ward of same, a little spay and neuter clinic is your contribution. Agreed. All new borns should be given a reversible sterilization. Then, once they are old enough, and they've passed all the tests, they can apply to be allowed to have children. Quote

Your mileage may vary, but you get it. Quote Click to learn why Climate Change is caused by HUMANS Michael Hardner
