CITIZEN_2015 Posted March 8, 2017 Report Posted March 8, 2017 (edited) Today March 8 is a great day. It is International Women's Day. It is a day to recognize and celebrate women’s achievements in equality but also to acknowledge the challenges many women continue to face in their quest for gender equality all over the world to this date. Though women in North America and most of Europe have made significant progress in achieving equality however, significant challenges still remain to overcome so that all women can enjoy equal rights in many parts of the world. Most regretfully to this date violence and discrimination against women continues in certain parts of the world and women are lacking in equality and denied basic human rights. Women must have equal rights to decide on their own will on such matters as what to wear, what to drink, what to study, what sports to play, where to work and what job to do and must have equal pay for equal work and must be entitled to equal heritage and also equal rights to divorce and entitled to decide who to marry. In addition, any form of violence against women must stop and be punishable by the maximum penalty allowed by the law of the land and international communities must take immediate steps to end violence against women all over the world. Congratulations to all women in the world on this great day and let's acknowledge their valuable contributions to the world. In addition to recognize the fact that we are all here because of women since they are the guardian of lives. Let's celebrate international women's day by supporting all women across the globe who are fighting for their rights and equality especially those in oppressive countries who are denied of their basic human rights and subjected to shameful systematic discrimination by the unelected authorities or their own family or the husband or boyfriend who has sworn to protect her. Gender discrimination in 21 century is a shameful practice and must end now. Edited March 8, 2017 by CITIZEN_2015 Quote
-1=e^ipi Posted March 8, 2017 Report Posted March 8, 2017 (edited) Karen Straughan will appear on CTV to discuss men's issues on women's day. Good to see the MSM start to finally talk to MRAs rather than just demonize them. Edited March 8, 2017 by -1=e^ipi Quote
-1=e^ipi Posted March 8, 2017 Report Posted March 8, 2017 Also, I applaud Casey Jay and her completion of the film 'The Red Pill'. Raheel Raza and her support of moderate islam as well as opposition to M103 is also great. Lots of great women. Quote
Topaz Posted March 8, 2017 Report Posted March 8, 2017 As a woman I understand the reason behind BUT they are causing more problems for other women by closing schools because there aren't enough teachers to teach. There also parents trying to find sitters for their kids, plus don't be surprised if they are law suit against the school and the teachers, I remember while going to school if a student decide to skip school to protest something they got a detention, will the teacher be treated differently for their political protests? All this activity is doing is dividing the country further. Quote

capricorn Posted March 8, 2017 Report Posted March 8, 2017 PM Trudeau celebrates International Women's Day by giving away $650 million for reproductive health and rights around the world. Quote The money, which will be invested over a three-year period, will support projects that provide sex education, strengthen reproductive health services, and support family planning and contraceptives. It will also fund programs to prevent and respond to sexual and gender-based violence, including forced marriage and female genital mutilation, and cutting and supporting the right of women to get safe and legal abortions. If we are to allocate that money for this purpose, how about we spend that money in Canada? Our First Nations could surely put some of those millions to good use. To top it off: Quote International Development Minister Marie-Claude Bibeau called on men and boys to rally behind the feminist cause to empower women and girls. "We cannot do it alone. We need you," she said. Er, excuse me Ms. Bibeau, that's an insult to all the single mothers and single women in Canada who have done it alone without needing the help of a man. Do these politicians not think before they open their big trap. http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/trudeau-women-reproductive-rights-1.4014841 1 Quote "We always want the best man to win an election. Makes perfect sense. *sarcasm* Edited March 9, 2017 by -1=e^ipi Quote
