eyeball Posted September 7, 2016 Report Posted September 7, 2016 Capitalism trumps virtue. Trading with China all these years HAS resulted in them becoming more like us. Go figure. Notice the values that have rubbed off on us; more powerful governments with greater emphasis and devotion to cops/security/intelligence and the authority to use them. Quote A government without public oversight is like a nuclear plant without lead shielding.
Peter F Posted September 7, 2016 Report Posted September 7, 2016 No, i think you missed that lesson. Nothing is supposed to be free, you're supposed to be allowed to work for it, sometimes that doesn't work out, but looking at the country as a whole, it does. Of course a high minded idealist like yourself won't see it that way, things could be better, perfect even, if only everyone got one board, it's been tried before. I see. So what is it then that you are advising ? Quote A bayonet is a tool with a worker at both ends
