I find it informative and it's kind of a drag that you imposed your judgements without providing any substance to the thread.

I think people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. There's no doubt that this is a thread drift, and a boring and repetitive one at that (and I participated in it).

I was thinking the same thing when he was literally walking through the crowd of people yesterday at the swearing in. Anyone could have been in that crowd and the security looked like they had a difficult job on their hands surveying everyone around Trudeau.

I think they're in for a wild ride. I really hope something doesn't happen to him though.

You constantly derail any threads with even a hint of having anything to do with the military with your circular and socratic rhetoric and ignoring people's arguments, which is neither informative nor interesting. Excuse me for getting sick of it nearly 300 replies to this post later.

Feel free to use the ignore feature then....with that, the OP spoke to policy that will be implemented early under the new Government, of which, the Trudeau Liberals promised to end, right away, our current combat mission against radical Islam in the Middle East. The only one to have derailed this wide ranging topic has been you. If you don't wish to partake in this conversation, then don't......simple concept.

Yet Assad wasn't chased into a hole and now controls less than 30% of his country..........Saddam, sans Western intervention, wouldn't have shared the same fate because?

I appreciate CC's posts in all threads and I absolutely learn from everyone of them. But, sometimes, let it go and let others learn from other posts. I am absorbing lots of information and I don't like to be interrupted in the flow of information.

Sure, they are both in relation to the "root causes" of the conflict, invoking justification or disqualification of Trudeau's intend policy moves on this file.

I don't understand the issue of not discussing Syria policies with regards to Trudeau in this thread. He clearly has gone against Harper's decisions and it clearly is a move forward for his first moves. I feel silly having to justify my feedback on this thread.

So i'm impressed so far that he has kept his promises about the composition of cabinet (and kept Bill Blair out as well), about being open to the media (talking to them as he walked between buildings in Ottawa), and actually moving forward with his ideas on the Senate. On the latter point, he may (I'm not entirely certain) be the first PM in a long time, maybe ever, to not have a government leader in the Senate as well. It's been an entirely different week in Ottawa than it has been for the last 10 years and I don't even particularly like the Liberal Party.

I see that Chrystia Freeland has acknowledge opposition to the TPP and is inviting citizen input on a website! I'm almost giddy to see democracy return to Canada.

It struck me today, watching a clip on Facebook from CBC, how different Trudeau is from Harper. There he was, walking from Centre Block to Westblock (that looked like where he was going anyway) stopping and talking to people (the people happened to be a Liberal strategist, I'll grant you that), answering reporters questions. When did you ever see Harper outside walking around, talking to people, answering questions?

On the other hand, it must be a nightmare for the RCMP.

I was a supporter of Harper until the beginning of the campaign. I still defend many of his actions. The differences between Trudeau and Harper in this area are striking.
