guyser Posted February 25, 2015 Report Posted February 25, 2015 The police should've surrounded the nearby reserve and not allowed anyone to leave or enter until they learn to behave themselves. create open air prisons. If the Native people cannot behave themselves in our society they should be removed from it and kept on their reserves. Maybe that way the rest of us can get on with our lives.Hi Maybe before you post again you can go and read this thing, not really all that important, just explains what rights are and ya know....that kind of stuff. The stuff you dont know about? K? Here it is.... http://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/const/page-15.html Quote
LemonPureLeaf Posted February 25, 2015 Report Posted February 25, 2015 Hi Maybe before you post again you can go and read this thing, not really all that important, just explains what rights are and ya know....that kind of stuff. The stuff you dont know about? K? Here it is.... http://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/const/page-15.html Natives aren't part of Canada. That's why they can build casinos. That's the reason the natives give anyhow. So if they aren't part of Canada they have no rights under the Constitution either. They cannot have it both ways. They cannot claim to be apart from Canada then claim to be protected by its rights. Trying to have cake and eat it too. Quote

Oh and by the way , a visitor to canada has the same rights as you do....whether here for an hour a day a month or forever. Quote
cybercoma Posted February 25, 2015 Report Posted February 25, 2015 Bull. That's not the way Canada especially has operated for a very long time. That has no place here. You have a very skewed perspective on our history. Quote

Trying to have cake and eat it too. Duh. We have casinos all over bc that are not run by natives. Perhaps you will recall when PQ was threatening to separate, the native population in the province said ya you go ahead, we are staying a part of Canada. Maybe go bully the Parti Quebecois and leave Native Canadians alon. Quote

LemonPureLeaf Posted February 25, 2015 Report Posted February 25, 2015 Canadians. . Terrorists are trying to kill us every day. Our government needs to protect us from that threat. I don't care if it's foreign or domestic terrorism. It all must be stopped. Blowing up a pipeline is terrorism. Blocking a road during a protest is terrorism. Setting off bombs is terrorism. Killing our soldiers is terrorism. I hope all people are arrested and are jailed for a long time. Maybe we will have peace on the forum if that happens. THis law is passing and there is nothing you can do about it. Just like the new sex ed. So get used to it. Quote

PIK Posted February 25, 2015 Report Posted February 25, 2015 It is true natives say they are not canadian so screw them. They need to be put in place and get on with looking after their people instead of stealing and asking for more. They want to play games so can we. jacee Posted February 25, 2015 Report Posted February 25, 2015 It will pass because Harper has a majority. Luckily for Canadians we have the SC to protect our rights. It will take a extraordinary courage and a lot of money to be those challenging the anti-terror law all the way to the Supreme Court. And they will be people who first have their constitutional rights and their minds and bodies violated by being arrested, incarcerated and harshly 'interrogated' by CSIS in secret for 7+ days. It's not ideal, to say the least. What would be ideal is if enough Canadians of all political persuasions emailed their MP'S and the Senators for their province to request that Bill C-51 be referred to the Supreme Court for a ruling before it becomes law. It will cost us a lot of public money for the government to fight the court challenges, and for public defenders for those whose rights are violated. We can save a lot of our money by making them do it right from the get go. . Quote

jbg Posted February 25, 2015 Report Posted February 25, 2015 I have never once voted Conservative - not once. My vote is never a sure thing. See above as to their willingness or not to drop something. We're on the same page. I never have voted Conservative. Where we differ is that I definitely won't in the future.
