"Can he count on your support in the election?" -- "Why, is there an early election?" -- "No sir (stammering)..ummm.." -- "I would find it a betrayal if he called an early election." -- "Would we lose your support in that case?" -- "Did you already count me as giving it?" If and when they get around to tabling this budget and we see they are still wallowing us in debt and deficit, their promises of transparency are already a joke, and who knows, maybe a few more departures or floor crossings, those polls will be heading right back where they belong.
