Bob Macadoo Posted December 16, 2014 Report Posted December 16, 2014 So that makes it ok than. Eves,Harris,Rea,Petteron, etc, etc screwed it up so we should just drink the kool aid and grab our ankles. I think I've been pretty clear what I think of it.....I just don't have the naivete to believe a Hutton, Hudak, or Flaherty-lite will wave their magic wand. In fact I was convinced Timmy H's energy policy was going to layer the largest pile of shyte on it yet. Quote

In fact I was convinced Timmy H's energy policy was going to layer the largest pile of shyte on it yet Guess I have not made it clear. Don't care about HuDAT. Any person that could lose twice to this government does not have the ability to form a government. My issue is the fact that the Ontario Liberals have failed and failed miserably since they beat Eves. The blame Harris game is old and boring. We could talk about Jean Chretien cutting transfer payments and Harris cutting taxes is the cause of all that is McGuinty. This was over ten years ago. The Liberals have raised taxes put billions and billions into health, education, energy, cricket clubs.......... I am not saying Hudak would have been better. I am saying that Wynne and company are incapable of running a government. Quote “Show me a young Conservative and I'll show you someone with no heart. Bob Macadoo Posted December 17, 2014 Report Posted December 17, 2014 I am not saying Hudak would have been better. I am saying that Wynne and company are incapable of running a government. Unfortunately those were not mutually exclusive events. I will finish by saying NO government will ever hang its hat on energy policy as its something they know nothing about yet is so intrinsic to 1st World life. The more you involve the worse it gets.....like quicksand. Quote

Shady Posted December 17, 2014 Report Posted December 17, 2014 If Ontarians had only elected Tim Hudak as premier, you would have 1 MILLION new jobs today. Way to hold those in power accountable for their actions!!! Quote
Argus Posted December 17, 2014 Author Report Posted December 17, 2014 Yes we keep piling onto the failed policy of the Harris/Eves era. No balls to say it was wrong and tear it down Mike Harris built a whole lot of expensive windmills? I had no idea. overthere Posted December 17, 2014 Report Posted December 17, 2014 No cost benefit analyses was done for any aspect of Ontario's "Green Energy" programs. That includes the "smart meter" program, which cost $2 billion, twice what the Liberals original stated, and which, according to the AG, leads to no savings. No matter how eager you are to time shift, no matter how often you get up at three in the morning to do your laundry, you will save nothing. The program is a complete fraud on the taxpayers. Which is exactly what I said when it was discussed here and elsewhere. Controlling the 'demand' side of electrical consumption is routinely done by industry, but is much harder for ordinary residential consumers. The demand meters are purely a revenue grab, one that requires relatively little investment and has a quick payback. The benefit to consumers and customers is pretty much nil. It is also a way for Ontario Hydro to maintain profits while spouting a purportedly responsible program of energy conservation. Reducing consumption helps defer giant capital costs for Hydro, and introducing smart meters lets them raise or maintain profits while they sell less product. Quote Science too hard for you? Ash74 Posted December 18, 2014 Report Posted December 18, 2014 Let us not forget we still have the MARS project to look forward too. PanAm Games run by David Peterson another fine Liberal. Plus you know that a hefty new tax is going to come next budget. It is the tradition. Quote “Show me a young Conservative and I'll show you someone with no heart. ironstone Posted December 19, 2014 Report Posted December 19, 2014 I don't think these dismal results will hurt the Ontario Liberals in any way. This government is perhaps the most inept we have ever had in this province. It's hard to think of anything they have done right.
