waldo Posted October 12, 2014 Author Report Posted October 12, 2014 This really isn't tough..... Mr. Wizard... why does your postured "prolific science expertise" end before you get to the carbon cycle? Quote
Accountability Now Posted October 12, 2014 Report Posted October 12, 2014 Mr. Wizard... why does your postured "prolific science expertise" end before you get to the carbon cycle? Yours hasn't even started. LMFAO!!!! Quote
waldo Posted October 12, 2014 Author Report Posted October 12, 2014 why do you deny the most fundamental and basic science of the carbon cycle? Quote
Accountability Now Posted October 12, 2014 Report Posted October 12, 2014 why do you deny the most fundamental and basic science of the carbon cycle? Why can you not answer a most basic question? Quote
waldo Posted October 12, 2014 Author Report Posted October 12, 2014 are you so intellectually challenged that you can't draw inference? For example, why do so struggle with the following? Does your absolute want to showcase just how obtuse you are, interpret my stating the human production of CO2 is insignificant... as stating humans DON'T produce it? Does your absolute want to showcase just how obtuse you are, interpret my stating the natural sourced human CO2 production is not included in emission inventories... as stating humans DON'T produce it?. try harder with this one... maybe you work better with an image! Quote
waldo Posted October 12, 2014 Author Report Posted October 12, 2014 again, what is your point here? Again, given your absolute fixation on human breathing produced CO2, does human breathing contribute to CO2 buildup in the atmosphere? Quote

On Guard for Thee Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 If you look very closely at teh picture and absorb the information contained therein, and recycle it through your thoughts a couple of times, you will have the answer. It's not that hard. Quote

It's not that hard. Perhaps you should look at the picture and see what is coming from the human! It's sad the public education system failed you so badly Quote

On Guard for Thee Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 Humans are not the whole picture. Do you not get that? I certainly do. What is it you don't get. eg: Human's drink water and then they pee, then they drink water, then they pee. Been hapenning for quite a while. Similar process with CO2 as is clearly shown in the picture. Have another look perhaps. Quote

Accountability Now Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 Exactly. I refer you back to the picture. Your explanation to the picture is talking about humans peeing. Not even close to breathing! Quote
On Guard for Thee Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 Your explanation to the picture is talking about humans peeing. Not even close to breathing! You're funny. Anyway, they are both closed cycles. One imvolves CO2, the other H2O. Pretty simple stuff really. Quote
Accountability Now Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 You're funny. Anyway, they are both closed cycles. One imvolves CO2, the other H2O. Pretty simple stuff really. Yes one involves the production of CO2 and H2O and the other doesn't Quote
On Guard for Thee Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 Yes one involves the production of CO2 and H2O and the other doesn't That doesn't make any sense but, whatever. Quote

eyeball Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 Yes or no??Yes, I produce CO2 when I breath. Are you implying that when I eat an apple and breathe I am increasing the amount of CO2 in the same way as burning a lump of coal would? Yes or no? Quote A government without public oversight is like a nuclear plant without lead shielding.
Bonam Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 CO2 is CO2. There is no distinction between CO2 exhaled by humans and CO2 produced by burning coal, once its in the air its just a CO2 molecule, identical to every other. As for an increasing amount, a buildup, that happens if the total amount of CO2 produced exceeds the total amount absorbed (by plants, oceans, etc). If plants have a capacity to absorb, say, 100 billion tons/year, and 80 billion tons/year are produced, then you can produce up to 20 billion/tons per year more, including by burning coal, and it will all still be absorbed even though those emissions are "artificial". Similarly, if there are already 120 billion tons/year produced, then yes, even if all those emissions come naturally from the exhalations of animals, a CO2 buildup will occur. Of course, the amount of CO2 produced by burning fossil fuels far exceeds that which is produced by breathing. And, it is also easier to try to control or reduce. The difference lies in the quantity, and in the ability to control it, rather than in some fundamental qualitative difference that places one type of CO2 inside of some closed loop system and another type of CO2 outside it. You could perfectly well have a planet where there are no animals, just factories producing CO2 and plants turning it back into O2, and it all being in perfect balance with each other in a closed loop.
