socialist Posted March 28, 2013 Report Posted March 28, 2013 congratulations to kathleen wynne and the ontario liberal party for righting all their wrongs in their past dictator style dealings with ontario teachers. wynne has come through and given us a good deal. she understands how valuable public school teachers are, and teachers who bargain in good faith will be back doing extra curriculars. i'm a happy camper today. this deal is great for teachers. there are more important things to be concerned about than debt and deficits. educatin our youth to be proper global citizens is what is important. my vot will be back wuth Wynne and the Liberals. I'm not sure I should ask this on this topic but it does have to do with Wynn. She's trying to raise money for the roads and she's thinking about more tolls on major highways like the 401. On a radio program, which they were talking about this in Windsor, one guy said IF she did this it would cost about $87. to drive to Toronto from Windsor. Other ideas was an increase of $10 on your licence renewal. So it seem any increase in pay by the teachers will go out the window with new taxes . Quote

You mean those people who pay taxes and think they pay enough of them? Backwards? So communism is now forward thinking? It is the only end to the road you want us to be on. Here's an idea, since everyone benefits from our infrastructure, that includes those who don't drive, how about everyone pays for maintaining the roads, we could move the money from some social programs that don't benefit everyone, into ones that do, the roads for example. People do still write books and do display a knowledge of grammar and capitalization so it is by no means passe. Texting and twittering with your friends in the high tech world are largely void of formality and if your education only requires that of you then fine. Do you not find it a disservice to educate below the level where someone could write a book, or at least an essay or even paragraph with proper grammar, punctuation and capitalization? In the near future when you communicate with parents, teachers and administrators, I recommend that you attempt to sound like an educated adult. Read some of your posts again. Does the content, phrasing and effort used reflect that of a person with multiple degrees? As a parent or principal would you feel confident in the ability an individual that communicates in this fashion to be responsible for students, let alone educate them?On this forum you attempt to advocate for the teaching profession; however, I think by claiming to be an educator and then conversing like a high school student you are doing it a disservice. They have always been voluntary, if you don't feel that your work is appreciated and you don't have to do it. You don't do it. Quote Ideology does not make good policy.
