The only thing that stopped that scene from becoming a real riot was the brave policemen who chose to spring into action and prevent it.

Debatable for sure. Well in fact even thats highly dubious claim

If they weren't there the protesters would've gotten closer to the memorial service and a huge riot would've cracked off.

Huge?

All 2 of 'em? Women at that?

That scares me. It scares me when Muslims that we are at war with can come to Canada and try to protest a Remembrance Day service that is to remember our war dead, not theres.

1) We are not at war w Muslims

2)They live and are presumably are as Canadian as you ! (Minus the bedwetting of course)\

Oh boo hoo, quit being a scared little baby.

You are afraid fo two women, and admit it in print.

Geebus , grow a pair or turn in your man card.

At the protest a lot more than two women were there. A fist fight broke out, check my first post in this thread for the video of the event. Many more than two were present, it was scary when crazy people are yelling at me. I am disabled so I think that I may be targeted because of my disability and that I may seem an easy target for them.

We are at war in Afghanistan which is a Muslim country. These women are from Afghanistan and are Muslim and said that we were at war with them. So I use that to frame my argument.

I don't see how name calling will help at all. How are you so sure I am a male?

I am afraid of being beheaded. Many people are beheaded in Islamic countries for being a non Muslim. Many people come to Canada from these countries, how many still hold the beliefs that non believers should be beheaded?

Appears there was a third woman, of asian decent, I suppose 50% more is a lot, but when weighed by increasing from 2 to 3......yikes!

I checked the video, you arent being truthful

Yea we know. Youve told us time and time again.

Best stay home, there are scary things out there .

Im not name calling, I am describing someone.

Im guessing you arent male, and likely not female either.

I am afraid of being beheaded.

Get a Kim Crouch neckguard, available at Canadian Tire. Works well too !

According to you, every damn one of them.

Stay home

Dont open the drapes.,

Stay away from concert halls, skating rinks...have you seen the outrageous clothes on figure skaters? AND they carry sharp blades with them.

No we're not, in case you haven't heard - our troops are withdrawing.

These women are from Afghanistan and are Muslim and said that we were at war with them. So I use that to frame my argument.

Afghan women are in Afghanistan.

Muslim are in Afghanistan.

We are at war with Afghan women.

Nice logic.

How are you so sure I am a male?

Merlin is a male name.

I am afraid of being beheaded.

Getting beheaded doesn't hurt you know. Unless you got a fat neck.

The Muslim Canadian Congress has denounced it, good for them. I didn't realize that they also said "Canada will burn, praise Allah"

Thanks for the link.

I'm wondering, if someone clearly said/wrote "Canada will burn" (instead of it being anonymously scribbled via graffiti) and that person could be identified, would that legally be considered as some kind of treason, and could that person be charged or jailed or, in the case of an immigrant/refugee, deported?

What are the treason laws in Canada? Does it regard speech?

honor killings are part of N American culture we just call it be different names, "lovers quarrel", "jealous rage", "domestic dispute"...

Honour killings and domestic violence are not the same thing at all.

That's right. Down our way, we always douse teenage girls in acid for watching boys go by on motorcycles.

Posted

yeah, thats right, in muslim lands they douse teenage girls in acid all the time.

Not just Muslims. That's a little unfair.

Honour killings are domestic violence. To say otherwise is just silly. It's not workplace violence or street violence.

According to you, a father killing a daughter or mother for not wearing a hijab is the same as a father killing them for any other reason. Dead is dead and we shouldn't try to figure out why these things happen so we can prevent them in the future. Ok if you say so.

Posted (edited)

You have a really hard time summarizing the things people say. NOWHERE did I say we shouldn't figure out why these things happen or concern ourselves with circumstances. I said it's domestic violence and that's a fact. It's just completely wrong to say otherwise. This happens to be religiously motivated domestic homicide, while there are all kinds of other possible motivations in these cases as well. Of course the motivations are important. Stop creating strawmen. It makes your arguments meaningless.

To simply lump honour killings in with traditional domestic violence is ridiculous and dangerous. They are not all the same thing. We're talking, for example, about a father and brother working together to kill their daughter(sister) for not wearing a hijab. That is not the same thing as a father or brother slapping their daughter or sister because they cannot control their temper which is what you're trying to say. I don't know why you and your ilk do this.

not to mention the war dead fought to give freedom of speech to all.

Who did the "war dead" fight with???

I thought the freedom of speech was granted by the Canadian charter of rights and freedoms.Did they fight against the Canadian government?

How about woman's right to vote?Did our troops die over them getting it?

Or what about native Canadians getting an unrestricted right to vote in 1960?

You're trolling right?

You think Nazi's or the USSR cared about those things? Wars were fought to protect us from people that didn't really care to much about civil rights.
