madmax Posted October 26, 2012 Report Posted October 26, 2012 Not long ago, Bentley was being touted as a successor to McGuinty, Now , not only is he not seeking the Leadership, he is jumping ship. http://toronto.ctvnews.ca/energy-minister-chris-bentley-won-t-seek-re-election-1.1011389 Quote
guyser Posted October 26, 2012 Report Posted October 26, 2012 The more that quit, and or do not seek the leadership smells to me as if all of them know that the Libs have no chance at re-election the next go round. Quote
MiddleClassCentrist Posted October 26, 2012 Report Posted October 26, 2012 The more that quit, and or do not seek the leadership smells to me as if all of them know that the Libs have no chance at re-election the next go round. The ship stinks of vermin and mismanagement. Even if it stays afloat, wouldn't want to stay on it? Quote Ideology does not make good policy. Good policy comes from an analysis of options, comparison of options and selection of one option that works best in the current situation. This option is often a compromise between ideologies.
jacee Posted October 27, 2012 Report Posted October 27, 2012 Looks like they're done ... They've alienated a lot of support. Kind of just imploded. Very strange. Quote
Sleipnir Posted October 27, 2012 Report Posted October 27, 2012 I think the Ontario PC and NDP needs to put forward a vote of non-confidence as soon as they can....this political gridlock cannot be in the best interest of Ontarians. Sleipnir Posted October 27, 2012 Report Posted October 27, 2012 How? Who recalls the Legislature? When they return to the Legislature with a new Liberal leader. | Quote "All you need in this life is ignorance and confidence; then success is sure." - Mark Twain
Topaz Posted October 27, 2012 Report Posted October 27, 2012 I heard that its mostly women running but then I heard that Gerard Kennedy was thinking of running. I think between what people think og the Liberals and what they think of Hudak, looks like more people will go for the NDP, maybe minority, which I think we may need to have a majority to fix the mess. I wonder how many people won't vote? Quote
Mr.Canada Posted October 27, 2012 Report Posted October 27, 2012 I have a feeling that a huge scandal is about to drop. Quote "You are scum for insinuating that isn't the case you snake." -William Ashley Canadian Immigration Reform Blog
Fletch 27 Posted October 29, 2012 Report Posted October 29, 2012 There is NO WAY IN HELL that Ontario would be dumb enough to switch vote to the NDP. It would completely whipe out any hope of pulling out of the gutter Dalton put us in. There would be taxes uppon taxes and pandering and coddling of every union in the province. The AVERAGE ontario resident would be on the hook for thousands of dollars in pandering to the socialists.. Quote
login Posted November 4, 2012 Report Posted November 4, 2012 We'll just have to wait until after Christmas when the legislature opens again to see if a confidence motion pops up. Quote
