The Cat Is Out Of The Bag!

Green Party leader defeats challengers

Now the truth is coming about what the Greens are really all about. And the reality is they are too right wing for most Canadians!

Better at least that we smoke out all these charlatans, whether they be Green or Conservatives.

Right wingers always try to disguse what their policies are. I guess they don't feel they will get much support being honest about what they represent. :o

The Greens, with their right wing leader, who barely held onto his leadership, will damage the Conservative chances in the next federal election.
Yeah, right.

The Greens are a fraud. Corporations and the Media/Right started this Environmental Protection Racket to rip off the working man. Let's not be lackeys to corporation/global money used to screw working people.

Or...

The Greens are a fraud. They are just a collection of frustrated, PR has-beens. They are a bunch of flakes who don't understand the real problem in society: those fat cat corporations ripping us all off.

Old Left Wing MapleSyrup, which is it?

That is not what the article said. It merely said he was not as left wing as some would like. There is still a good majority of people who prefer something more middle of the road; neither right or left. We do not need to fit into right or left. I am not particularly interested in this party but do want to remind everyone; there are many of us fairly in the center.

The GP will always be a backseet party they may grab the odd seat in the house if they are lucky but they will never reach official opposition status. the biggest reason is they are trying to grab votes from everyone, Conservatives, NDP, and Liberals but in being so broad they limit their potential. It's like getting Brittney Spears to go on tour with Evanesence, and then turn around and send her on tour with Eminem, and after that send her on tour with AC/DC it doesn't mean she appeals to such groups, and unfortuantley for the GP they don't fit into the "pop" market either, leaving them appelaing to everyone but not appealing to anyone.

The Greens are still a fringe party. But it's not because they're "too right wing" for most Canadians. It's because the party is still seen as a bunch of kooks. Whether it is goofy Euros or that chick who refuses to wash her hair because shampoo suds are bad for fish, the Greens have to recognize that the image they present is not going to click with most Canadians.

The Greens increased their share of the vote by a factor of 4 in the past election... if you're claiming that they are moving in a direction Canadians don't agree with, I don't think the numbers support your theory.

And isn't it a shame that not everybody who supports the environment believes in the fantasy-world that Jack Layton lives in.

Let's cut the BS. The Sierra club, Greenpeace and other major environmental organizations found the Greens wanting on the environment and endorsed Jack Layton's New DCemocrats in the last election.

Harris is a bit of a buffoon. Last election Harris also stated he will win the moon and elect MPs, and our mainstream press including Ipsos-Reid jumped on the Green fantasyland bandwagon, or doesn't anyone remember that. Maybe you conveniently forget these things, eh? ;)

Harris and the Greens, like Harper and the Conservatives, once they find out what they are really all about, Canadians will run in the opposite direction.

The only reason the mainstream press gave the Greens any publicity was because of their potential to damage the NDP. Now that the cat is out of the bag, the Greeen leader is a right winger, the potential for the Greens will now come at Harper's expense.
