Canada has been loosest country with immigration and refugee laws all too long. The benefits given FOR YEARS to claimants have been laughable then when denied, they simply might disappear. Lets get reasonable. 20 years of appeals and costs are unacceptable! Edited April 30, 2012 by Peeves Quote

Sweet. Where did that rant come from? Migrant worker isn't a refugee. Did you even read the article before showing red tendencies? "Canadians have been telling us they don't think that smuggled migrants and bogus asylum claimants should be getting better health-care benefits than Canadian seniors and taxpayers," Kenney said. "They won't be getting extras that Canadians don't get, like dental, eye care, and discretionary pharmaceuticals."Most refugee claimants will still get coverage similar to most provincial health plans while officials determine whether their claim is genuine, but coverage for prescription drugs, glasses, and dentist visits would disappear. TheNewTeddy Posted April 30, 2012 Report Posted April 30, 2012 I once had a tooth infection so bad that I literally could not think and had to be lead around by my roomate. Too amusing for words. How true. Actually it appears likely they haven't even understood the article or the facts. One seems to think it's about immigrants taking Canadian jobs.. I was minutes away from grabbing a steak knife and ripping the tooth out myself. Thankfully I'm not a refugee, otherwise I'd have not got the medicine that helped me. Yes we have a lot to be thankful for. Thankfully we have lots of wealth and free enterprise in our country so that we can tax the free enterprisers and hand out freebies to OUR citizens. I was once hungry and bought myself a hamburger. Thankfully I'm not an African and I live in a country where over 90% of the population has jobs so I could do so. I was once horny so I had unpretected sex with a female. Thankfully I am not in Africa so I didn't get HIV. There's only so much wealth to go around. Canadian taxpayers aren't a charity for refugees. If you want to pay for their toothaches, then write a cheque, don't force unwilling Canadians to do so. Quote

Am I to believe Jason Kenny would pinch up his face and say 'not on the public's tab' and you'd cheer him on? Like I said Jesus H Christ. Thank god for sane people like you. Isn't it just special that paranoia about cheats leads Cons to punish all refugees, most of whom come from years of strife and oppression, poor nutrition and no health care. I'll bet if we audited everybody over $500k and caught all the rich tax cheats, it'd save us enough money to buy glasses for the refugee kids so they can see to learn to read English. Hell one rich tax cheat could likely fund the whole program. Not a lot of Christian charity among the Cons is there. Hell, atheists are more charitable than the Christian Cons in Frawdawa (with thanks to whoever came up with that ... It's perfect!) No, much better that taxpayers' money go to corporate subsidies, because those poor oil stockholders in the Alberta money pits really need money so bad they'd steal medicine from children. Ya, better some child should die from an abcessed tooth (the infection travels quickly to the brain) than a stockholder or executive should give up their hard won tax fraud/corporate payoff cash. I can see the logic in that. It's not a pleasant sight ... but I can see it. I think "Audit the rich!!" has a lot of potential as a street protest slogan ... hmmm ...
