Stupid is a relative term, though... and ultimately not measurable. Bigots, racists represent a certain point of view, and we even have a poster defending that point of view on here now. From your own rule guide There is a huge difference between disagreeing with a thought or idea and attacking an individual. Given the elastic nature of the terms now, why don't we just accept that it's meant to be insulting? Just like calling someone an asshole. Because unless someone actually admits they own a white hood, or are a member of some white pride group or other, then you are simply making a judgement of them based on their posts. Which is exactly how I judge some of the posters here as assholes. The idea is you attack what was said not the one who said it. Of course, there are ways to attack what was said in as antagonistic and insulting a fashion as possible in order to stay just within the borders of what is acceptable. But then again, if the rules which require dealing with other posters with 'respect' were actually in force even that would not be permissible. I can operate in either way, openly insulting or respectful, depending on the rules and attitudes. Problem with this place is that what's acceptable is not in line with the actual rules, so it's like driving on the highway. You can stay within the speed limit and never get busted, while everyone else is whizzing past you, or crank it up a bit and risk the occasional speeding ticket.
