Would you consider all US States with concealed carry Hell on Earth?

Don't know or care, they can do what they want. There is no reason for us to immitate them.

Clearly, if we did mimic some of “their laws”, it would be the end of Canada as we know it.

Yea..that would be "American Style" conceal and carry. Booooo!

Nothing to do with "American Style". Everything to do with "Canadian Style". Get over yourself.

We don't mind your beer, tv, sports, and pick-ups, but we draw the line in the snow at guns......that would be un-Canadian

You used the word "immitate"...not I. Lot's of other countries in the world to pick from.

I was responding to a direct question to me about "all US States with concealed carry". Who do you think I should have referred to, Wales?

The question was if those states were "Hell on Earth", not whether Canada should do likewise or "immitate" them. You responded with your not "American style" reflexes, and that's OK.

You have such experience?

Do you need experience to understand the difference? I may know how to shoot a gun with precision, but do I know how to react in a stressfull situation where my firearm would be used for defense?

Or is common sense eluding most these days?

I said I didn't know or care and that they could do what they wanted. I could care less what country they are in. "American Style" is your phrase, not mine. I never used the word American or US. If someone has a problem with "American Style" reflexes, it's not me.

Always true whether you agree or not....the Americans will do what they wish, just like the Canadians.

Yes, I learned that phrase and context here. It is synonymous with "immitate them".

Your problem is that you can't comprehend that there are Canadians who don't base their whole view of life on what Americans may or may not do. I'll say it again. Get over yourself.

That's all quite beside the point.

A Member of Parliament told a bunch of kids in school that they should be armed. If you can't see why that's totally unacceptable, then God help you.

When I went to school, all I had to do is go down stairs and shoot, yes at school. But then the whining left took care of that and now there is no place to learn to shoot, unless you are lucky to have a gun club in the area. So instead of having the young given proper instruction, they are out doing it themsleves and trouble is close behind. The bubblewrapping must stop.

Toronto, like a roach motel in the middle of a pretty living room.

I asked this earlier, didn’t anyone ever belong to the Boy Scouts and shoot Cooey single shot .22’s?

I was in the Boy Scouts in the 80s, but there were no guns around.

My high school used to have a cadet corps, which required members to handle weapons. First it was compulsary, then voluntary, and it was eliminated some time in the late 70s, I think.

I wonder when that changed......I was in the Scouts in the late 60s and early 70s and we certainly did get to handle the old single shot .22s…….Great fun as a kid. :D

Sure it wasn't an insurance company not wanting guns in the basement of the school?

I think cadets still get to fire C-7's.
