If I were PM I would use Waterboarding in a case by case basis but the circumstance would have to be at the most urgent Quote
TheNewTeddy Posted February 29, 2012 Author Report Posted February 29, 2012 (edited) Abortion I'm "neutral" on the issue, neither pro nor anti anything. I am therefore closer to Romney. Taxes/Spending Romney and Gingrich are the only ones without insane proposals, but Romney's proposals are best. Regulation Romney and Santorum are the only sane ones here, but again, Romney is the best. Entitlements Romney is the only one with proposals I consider sane. Afghanistan I agree with none of the candidates, I think we (the US and Canada) should stay so long as they want us to stay. That puts be closer to Santorum than the others. Torture I'm pretty darn right wing on this issue. Santorum is therefore closest to me. Iran Paul and I don't see eye to eye. Romney has the view closest to what I agree with. Energy/Environment As someone who has voted Green, Santorum's policies are totally insane. Romney is the only one even close to my view. Immigration I'm pretty left wing on this issue. Paul or Romney is closer to my personal ideals, and it's hard to pick, but I'd rather take Paul's idea over Romney. Same-Sex Marriage None of them and I see eye to eye, but Romney is the least insane. Health Care Romney and Gingrich are the only two with reasonable ideas. Under the presumption that Romney would support state run healthcare for the poor, I back him, but if not, I go with Gingrich. Education Vouchers utterly disgust me. Romney is the only reasonable one. China Paul and Romney have good ideas, but I agree with Romney. Bailout Romney again has the most reasonable stances. Romney - 10.5 Santorum - 2 Paul - 1 Gingrich - 0.5 Edited February 29, 2012 by TheNewTeddy Quote Feel free to contact me outside the forums. bush_cheney2004 Posted February 29, 2012 Report Posted February 29, 2012 Romney - 10.5 Santorum - 2 Paul - 1 Gingrich - 0.5 So which candidate do you plan to vote for? Quote Economics trumps Virtue.

j44 Posted February 29, 2012 Report Posted February 29, 2012 Abortion Romney Taxes/Spending Romney Regulation Romney Entitlements Romney but possible Santorum Afghanistan Obviously complicated and while Paul makes very good points I'm probably closer to Romney. Torture Paul Iran Paul Energy/Environment Romney Immigration Romney Same-Sex Marriage Paul Health Care Romney Education Romney China Romney, Paul, Gingrich. Bailout Romney About 70% Romney and 25% Paul. Quote
Wolf Larsen Posted March 1, 2012 Report Posted March 1, 2012 (edited) I say we just put all the Republican candidates in the insane asylum. Except Romney does not appear to be insane. He's more of a Democrat. Not that I like Democrats either. They're just like the Republicans, just not as insane. I think everybody should just vote for their favorite dog for president. My neighbor's dog, for example, is smarter than George Bush, Rick Perry, or Sarah Palin. So maybe I'll vote for my neighbor's dog. Or maybe I'll vote for myself. Maybe that's what everybody should do this year. Maybe everybody should just vote for themselves for president. Why not? It doesn't matter whether the Republicans or Democrats win. What was the question again? Edited March 1, 2012 by Wolf Larsen Quote Capitalism Sucks!
Moonlight Graham Posted March 1, 2012 Report Posted March 1, 2012 (edited) Abortion Undecided, so let women decide. closest: Romney Taxes/Spending They all suck, but Romney is least nuts. Regulation Romney or Santorum if I have to choose from crap Entitlements Romney, the least crazy here. Afghanistan Paul, possibly Romney (who doesn't seem too hawkish). Negotiate with Taliban, get out, continue drone or air strikes if need be if possible from the sea. Santorum continues to prove he's an idiot on foreign policy. Torture Paul - no torture Iran Paul, though he's a bit too soft in his rhetoric IMO. At least APPEAR tough to Iran, Ronny. Energy/Environment Romney, the least crazy. Immigration Who cares. Same-Sex Marriage Ron Paul. The others eems to want to ammend the constitution to BAN gay marriage, lol Health Care Romney Education Dunno China Paul or Romney. Bailout Romney, definitely. VERDICT (out of 14 questions) Romney - 8 Paul - 5 Santorum - 1 Gingrich - 0 Edited March 1, 2012 by Moonlight Graham Quote "All generalizations are false, including this one." - Mark Twain Partisanship is a disease of the intellect.
