No, it's just reality and consistent with the political processes of many nations. He already is a candidate, like dozens of others who you have never even heard of, but may appear on ballots.

I don't need to be reminded of political processes as I live in one of those nations. Sure there are other candidates that I may not know of nevertheless doesn't change my view of his remark especially when the potential post is to become the president of the most powerful country.

Even if there was "proof" it wouldn't change matters much. The report is what it is...same as in Iraq. Those that criticize/support the IAEA or UNSCOM do so only when it is convenient for their point of view.

Convenient? Nah! It's just a fresh perspective of things. This whole thing is not even about Iran becoming nuclear...

Then Santorum's remarks should have come as no great surprise.

Any natural born American of 35 years age or older can be US president. The process for selecting the candidate is not independent of the nation's rise to such "power".

It's no surpirse at all.

...Please stop twisting the words...Like I have said repeatedly I am not questioning the electoral process. But rather a quality of a candidate that IMO made a silly remark. That's all! In other nations people are able to express opinions about potential candidates that have a gaffe..

Your alarm at such a remark is quite inconsequential, and many candidates have made such gaffes in the past, including those in Canada. What's the big deal?

A very interesting fresh perspective from Seymour Hersh

A propaganda used ahead of Iraq war now being reused over Iran's nuke program:

Iran is a peaceful country that loves everyone and everything. So there's absolutely no possibility that they want to own and use nuclear weapons. All a poor pro-Zionist translation of the Great Man's words. Does that sum up your viewpoint?

Indeed...it worked quite well for Iraq. Don't mess with a successful formula!

Iran is a peaceful country that loves everyone and everything.

Every country has its own domestic problems as well as external issues. Anyone who denies that has biased views....

So there's absolutely no possibility that they want to own and use nuclear weapons.

There's absolutely no possibility that they want to "remove Israel off the map".

All a poor pro-Zionist translation of the Great Man's words.

See above. Those are you words not mine. If you want to change that translation to suit your goal that's fine but dont expect me to take your word for what he hasn't said...

Does that sum up your viewpoint?

Not a all, framing me into something I never said or lumping me as someone with views contrary to yours is an old tactic....

What may have worked for Iraq (and i say may) does not have universal application. Iran is not Iraq.

and they ended up being spies

last i heard if you catch someone spying in your country you can detain them

The US doesn't detain Canadian spies. Canada helped to bomb and strangle Iraq just like other nations over the past 20 years. Now it is Iran's turn.
