Topaz Posted November 22, 2011 Report Posted November 22, 2011 Some of these guys get so bored that they come with their Xmas cards and do them there. For the Tories, it just goes to show that they nod their heads in sleep or awake. Quote

Wild Bill Posted November 23, 2011 Report Posted November 23, 2011 Funniest political video you'll see all year Gotta give him credit.., he fought it!! gotta give him an E for effort I've always wondered how ANY of them stay awake! Hudson Jones Posted November 23, 2011 Report Posted November 23, 2011 That's the MP that called Nelson Mandela a terrorist. He should be laughed at for that. There have been tyrants and murderers, and for a time, they can seem invincible, but in the end, they always fall. Think of it--always. Gandhi

tducey82 Posted November 23, 2011 Report Posted November 23, 2011 I'm a Conservative but Rob Anders is not a favourite of mine. The guy did call Nelson Mandela a terrorist and faling asleep on the job makes him look even worse. Quote

The guy did call Nelson Mandela a terrorist and faling asleep on the job makes him look even worse. Well, if he is asleep then he can't be making embarrassing comments about Nelson Mandela or others. So that is a bonus right there. I am sure PM Harper wishes a few other MPs would fall asleep as much as he wishes a couple of them would stay awake. Quote
The_Squid Posted November 23, 2011 Report Posted November 23, 2011 Falling asleep on the job is pretty much inexcusable.... Was he drunk the night before? Still drunk? Most others get reprimanded or canned. Quote

grogy Posted November 24, 2011 Report Posted November 24, 2011 I suppose he could have stayed home, i mean isn't it those evil unions that are always demanding more time off, more sick time, better benefits, perhaps the guy was just a bit tired that day and came into work anyway, it's not like real people do that sort of thing..or he could not have come in at all, like those evil unionized types.. These threads are really pathetic. Quote

Wasn't there a vote recently to pick a new AG and all the liberals walked out during the vote to protest.Do you have a list for the reasons why they didn't vote? CPCFTW Posted November 24, 2011 Report Posted November 24, 2011 (edited) You might want to look at the new list instead of using the numbers for a parliament that does not exist. http://howdtheyvote.ca/member-stats.php?o=aw_dd&s=17 You will notice 7 of the top ten who are missing days are CONSERVATIVES! I've seen the list but it's still early in parliament. 14 absences is a 2 week vacation... who knows how many at the top simply took celebratory vacations after finally helping Harper to secure his majority. I will be upset if, at the end of 41st parliament, the list looks anything like the liberal list did. Keep in mind that the conservatives have far more MPs than the other parties. Feel free to copy that chart into excel and calculate absences per MP for each party. I'm sure the conservatives aren't doing too badly since around 140 out of 166 conservative MPs have no absences at all. It's hilarious to still see so many liberals up high on that list with only 34 MPs though. Guess they still didn't get the message. Edited November 24, 2011 by CPCFTW Quote
