Smallc Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 Yet Obama has that same imaginary friend as gw bush. Did god tell Obama to enact stupid economic policy? Obama's an atheist, he's just afraid to say it. Also, there are different levels of religious people. Michelle Bachman is crazy. Mitt Romney, despite his even crazier religion, isn't. He's just a corporatist, and that's something that most mainstream people can live with. Quote

Moammar gadhaffi.and Ahmadinejad are crazy. God tells her things. That's crazy. The fact that she's a giant hypocrite who takes government money, and the fact that she's a moron, doesn't help. Quote

So Obama isn't a Christian, even though that's what he says. You happen to know that he's actually an athiest! I'm beginning to see why all the Democrats don't seem all that crazy to you. Quote

He is an atheist. If he's a Christian, he's certainly not a devout one. He's also a centrist. Just don't tell any republicans. I'm beginning to see why all the Democrats don't seem all that crazy to you. Lots of Democrats are crazy.....they just don't make it to the front of many people's minds. Smallc Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 (edited) Why is Mitt Romneys religion any more crazy than Islam? Islam, Judaism, and Christianity (the non mormon kind) are all crazy at about the same level. Mormonism is a whole different kind of crazy, magic underwear and all. And since when did being a hypocrite in politics mean crazy? Seems like if anything, it's normal. Quote
Shady Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 Seriously, why? Or are you just a bigot when it comes to Mormons? Quote

The fact that she's a giant hypocrite who takes government money, and the fact that she's a moron, doesn't help. And what of that is pandering to her base? I'll wager dollars to donuts if a psychologist looked at her she wouldn't be classified as crazy. Smallc Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 And what of that is pandering to her base? I'll wager dollars to donuts if a psychologist looked at her she wouldn't be classified as crazy. Well, maybe, but then that doesn't say anything good about the republican base. Quote

bush_cheney2004 Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 Well, maybe, but then that doesn't say anything good about the republican base. That's what you said about PM Harper's "base" too....guess who now has a majority in Canada? Quote Economics trumps Virtue.
Shady Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 Or what about the Hindu elephant god? Quote
Smallc Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 As oppose to jihad and the pedophile warrior? Yeah, as opposed to crusades and ritual circumcision. Muslims are crazy at this point in history. Their religion is no more crazy than its closest relatives. Quote
Smallc Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 Or what about the Hindu elephant god? Were we even talking about them? Their religion is pretty crazy, yes. Quote
Shady Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 Yeah, as opposed to crusades and ritual circumcision. Muslims are crazy at this point in history. Their religion is no more crazy than its closest relatives. So why are Mormons worse to you? Or are you just a bigot toward them in particular? Quote
blueblood Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 Well, maybe, but then that doesn't say anything good about the republican base. Well I imagine if there was a centre right version of Jon stewart and other celebrities who are just as popular, making films/interviews about the fringe left and showing them as typical democrats, there wouldnt be much to say about e democrat base now would there? Smallc Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 (edited) So why are Mormons worse to you? Or are you just a bigot toward them in particular? What? I said their religion is crazy. It was created by a con man in recent history. It's based on a recent sham, rather than a very old and storied ones. Edited October 21, 2011 by Smallc Quote

There are people that do that. Jon Stewart even does it. My entire point is that they currently aren't the fringe in the Republican party. The Republican party is currently so far to the right on social issues, that you'd be hard pressed to be more to the right. Quote
Shady Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 What? I said their religion is crazy. It was created by a con man in recent history. It's based on a recent sham, rather than a very old and storied ones. You said that it was even crazier. But you haven't explained why. Apparently a con man is crazier that a virgin birth, a pedophile warrior and an elephant god. How so? Or are you just a bigot toward Mormons? Quote

The GOP commentators on CNN see, like normal everyday people, just like the commentators from the democrats. Just because someone thinks different from you o doesn't mean they are crazy. I'm against all religion influencing policy. I don't care if people practice it...in fact I support their right to do so. Seriously, mormonism has more crazy beliefs than most religions, and you won't find many that disagree. Quote
