wyly Posted December 5, 2012 Report Posted December 5, 2012 Speaking of annoying: Andrea. Maybe it's just me, but I keep actively hoping she'll get killed, preferably by having her face eaten by a zombie walker. ya they can drag out the andrea situation too far, that needs to be resolved soon or like margaret in BE I'll be fast forwarding through the andrea melodrama scenes... Boges Posted December 5, 2012 Author Report Posted December 5, 2012 shane with a beard...apparently he's shooting a movie that requires a beard so they found an extra with a beard to kill, worked nicely...rick is losing it, will there be a new leader emerging in the group if rick's melt downs continue? Walking Dead is about Rick. That would be like having Breaking Bad without Walt, Boardwalk Empire without Nucky or Dexter without Dexter. Quote
WIP Posted December 7, 2012 Report Posted December 7, 2012 It may only happen once a year, but on rare occasion The National Post actually has something useful. I've been wanting to post this for a couple of days now: Graphic: Stopping the Dead – a statistical look back at the Walking Dead series so far The graphics, which are too long to post, and have spoilers, depending on how up to date you are with the series, tell us how many zombies are killed, who kills them, how they're dispatched.....everything you need to know on one page. Wow! someone has way to much time on their hands. Very cool though. One mistake though. A minor character named Randal was killed by Shane, then his zombie was later killed by either Darryl or Glenn the tally would indicate Glenn. Second last episode of Season 2 right before Shane get shived by Rick. He probably should have been labeled as not a generic zombie. Edited December 7, 2012 by Boges Quote
Boges Posted February 11, 2013 Author Report Posted February 11, 2013 (edited) IT'S BACK!!!! I'm not happy with how they're portraying Rick as an emotional wreck. You know you've created an enemy in a nearby town. Comic Book Rick prepares for a coming invasion. TV Show Rick wants to throw capable males and a chick with a sword out of the prison. Carl is a better leader than Rick right now. Edited February 11, 2013 by Boges Quote

Boges Posted February 19, 2013 Author Report Posted February 19, 2013 (edited) For the preview for next week's show Carl says to Rick that he shouldn't be leader anymore. He was in the bushes looking for Ghost Lori when the Governor attacked! They must have been using hollow points, how else would Axel's corpse work as a bullet proof shield? Edited February 19, 2013 by Boges Quote

He was in the bushes looking for Ghost Lori when the Governor attacked! They must have been using hollow points, how else would Axel's corpse work as a bullet proof shield? I agree that he would have been using hollow points, but you also have to factor is the Governor is firing a Steyr AUG, a gun that uses the same cartridge as the AR-15/M-16 (.223/5.56 NATO), a rather weak round……..A 30 calibre jacketed hollow point (like a .308) would have went through him and then either stop in Carol or the dirt behind him…………… Quote
Boges Posted February 25, 2013 Author Report Posted February 25, 2013 Loved last night's episode. Rick, Carl and Michonne are going to do another covert operation in Woodbury. BTW who noticed the crawl during the episode last night that said Rogers is thinking of pulling AMC. I'm glad I'm not with Rogers!!!! Most of the time AMC is a low rate movie channel BUT it has two or three of the best shows on TV right now. Way to make people want to download more programming Rogers! Quote

I thought he said they were going on another "run".........I'd assume he meant for food and ammo...........And for the most part, I think AMC has mostly decent movies on, and have no idea why Rogers would axe them......... I've seen preview that indicate that is what will happen next. Where? I've only seen the preview with the three of them driving past a hitchhiker..... As was mentioned last night, they don’t have enough ammo to deal with the zombies on the prison grounds to repair the fence/gate, so I would think it unlikely they had enough to launch an attack on Woodbury. There's a scene where they meet, and it's clearly not an attack. It would be a mistake for these two not to have a face-to-face before a final confrontation. The amount of ammo is relative in a show like this. Herchel has unlimited ammo in the season finale last year. Everyone has an assault rile except Carl in last night's episode. Quote

Hershel can be seen reloading his Wingmaster several times.............And as mentioned, like I said above, they are running low on ammo..........Maggie had a bolt action rifle (either a Remington 700 or Winchester 70) as for everyone else having a rifle..........They're in a Prison, in the Southern United States..........Everyone has a AR-15/M-4 down there, LEOs and the regular folk alike Doesn't mean they have ammo. Boges Posted March 1, 2013 Author Report Posted March 1, 2013 You're 100% correct Derek. I took a peek at the guide description for this Sunday's episode and they are out looking for ammo. COMIC SPOILER!!!!!!!! In the comic they go to a Walmart for supplies and encounter Woodbury residents and completely PWN them. Quote
Boges Posted April 1, 2013 Author Report Posted April 1, 2013 Doesn't seem many people are interested in discussing this show. Season 3 came to an end yesterday. I was shocked that it sort of ended in a happy way. Andrea was a horrible character so her SPOILER!!!! death wasn't that much of a downer. I'm more upset Milton go killed. At this point this show doesn't resemble to source material very much. Which is good, you really have no idea what was going to happen. I was convinced there was going to be a full-out massacre at the prison, not so much though. Quote

I was surprised too……..even during the initial attack, I was thinking that they had buggered off………But their ambush was effective……..And I thought for sure that the Governor was going to buy it….Was surprised about Andrea though….Didn’t see it ending like that…..Can’t wait till next season… Quote
Boges Posted April 1, 2013 Author Report Posted April 1, 2013 Andrea got what she ultimately wanted. Her justification for staying in Woodbury, with the Governor, was to ensure the "civilians" stay safe. She couldn't really adapt to the whole Darwinism that the Zombie Apocalypse is. The Governor made an excellent point that in this world you kill or you die, when you die you end up killing. I've read many comparisons to Carl's story arc to that of the Governor. I even read that he's shaping up to be like an Anikan Skywalker of the Zombie Apocalypse. Quote
Boges Posted October 15, 2013 Author Report Posted October 15, 2013 It's Back!!!! The Prison has it's own little self-governed community going with a quasi-government. But some sort of Swine Flu has gotten one of the group dead in the showers. We all know what happens when someone dies as a result of anything other than a severe brain injury! BTW Boardwalk Empires is also excellent this year. Quote
