Call me when you pay the East off with interest for building you a rail road so you could be a province ok?

The railroad was not built to help the West, it was built to exploit the West. Of course. Duh.

How about the federal subsidization to drill your wells, and build you infrastructure?
The subisdies are given by your federal govt from taxes you don't pay to benefit you in Manitoba. Of course. Duh.
you hate the country and how it is run.

I don't hate Canada, just hoping that some parts of them will someday contribute something, anything to the common cause. Of course. Duh.

The government should do something.

Do you support the subsidies given to the oil and gas industry in Alberta?

Love that deficit math that doesn't mention the disproportionate transfer/equalization money(billions, every year) that MB gets to 'balance' its budget off the sweat of others.

Yes, because Manitoban's (with one of the highest work participation rates and an economy equal (per person) to Ontario doesn't contribute anything.

Growing their economy will provide new revenues. Hey, you're a supply-sider! Welcome aboard!

Why not just raise taxes punked? You could solve the deficit immediately. It's only around 8%. Raise taxes on the upper bracket. Why don't you practice what you preach?

That is not what supply-siders are Shady

Why wouldn't you want to raise taxes? You could eliminate the deficit in Manitoba. Just raise taxes on the top brackets. Come on punked, practice what you preach!

Manitoba is already set to eliminate the deficit in a couple of years. That's the difference.

Maybe they should do what you believe which is cut taxes to 0 and magic will pay for everything Shady. An 8% gap and 2-3 years in deficit isn't something to worry about. A 30% deficit and already being in deficit for 10 years with another 20-30 years is something to do something about stupid.

Deficit? It isn't that high.

My bad I was using 2010 numbers not 2011 the deficit is only 2.5% of spending now. Seems pretty small compared to 30-40% doesn't it? One might not even ask anyone to raise taxes when that is the case.

But are they set to balance their budget without a couple billion bucks per year in equalization gravy?

Now that would be different.

The government should do something.

We already dealt with this issue of equalization. Do you not know the point of equalization in a Federation like Canada remember we aren't a republic and if you want to live in one of those you can move south because it aint going away.

They can't forego receiving it.

Another lie from you. It's getting ridiculous now. I've never suggested cutting taxes to zero. Stop the lying already or I'm going to have to notify the moderators.

You better because you never met a tax cut you didn't like. Seriously when does it stop?

Why'd you need to borrow money from your uncle? Tried placing a bet, Mr. Always-wrong?

All I've said is don't raise taxes. Especially during a bad economy. There is no economic doctrine, whether it's Keynesian, or otherwise that suggests raising taxes during a bad economy is a good idea.
