Its by region. The broadcasts are not available in BC/Yukon.

What do you mean? They can broadcast to your area. It's blacked out in BC.

Does a tv black out really mean anything with today's technology?

I do have a question... aren't local newspapers/radios/TVs allowed to release results to locals...and as an American, would I be able to access this?

On my Satellite system all the eastern networks are "not available for viewing in your area" until after the polls close in our time zone.

In the 60s through the 80s most elections were over and decided before the polls closed in Winnipeg. Damn is good times have changed.

Yes actually, it does. Unless you're using certain black market technology. Everyone is reporting. Hell, they've been reporting in Newfoundland since the polls closed there at 7 your time.

No, but a $25000 fine speaks in all languages.

I'm not the greatest computer or internet guru, but almost as a personal challenge, I have been working hard. Someone in this thread suggested surly beaver, and it sort of has worked, but I have tried to pull up streaming feeds from CBC and CTV stations in the east, and no-go. Even though I have done that in the past to listen to sports programs.

Does that apply to people residing in other countries?

No, which is one of the reasons why the results have been readily available online for a while.

The Tories are doing better in Quebec than I expected. They may keep their seats here.

But the Bloc are getting hmmered way worse than I thought.
