cybercoma Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 He'll be doing anything he can to get some airtime - and looking more desperate all the while. Now that the NDP have a leader, Liberals are truly #3 and nobody will be paying attention to them. It happened as quickly as you can say "Bob's your Uncle". Ok... that actually made me LOL. Quote
Newfoundlander Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 Gerard Kennedy, Martin Cauchon, Denis Coderre were all cabinet ministers yet they are suppoedly "weak weak weak" compared to the NDP candiates? Dominic LeBlanc was also a parliamentary secretary who has more federal experience then anyone the NDP put forward. I'd rather any of them running the country then a union negotiater, a teacher, a pharmacist, or a student. Quote

Yup, you guys keep saying stuff like this but I'm still seeing Rae's comments well before the NDP response, or so it seems anyway. I truly think that the CPC is very worried about Rae, all the denigration doesn't make sense otherwise. Quote "They muddy the water, to make it seem deep." - Friedrich Nietzsche
Smallc Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 (edited) I certainly would be if I were the CPC. People really underestimate Rae. Edited April 4, 2012 by Smallc Quote

Fletch 27 Posted June 25, 2012 Report Posted June 25, 2012 They will keep Bob rae as interim till 2014... Then they will form together with the NDP. Mulcair will remain leader of the opposition for years.. With Liberals trying to claw the way up the NDP ladder. Justin will jump to the Tories in 2014 and wait till Steve Harper retires and then run for leader. The Next "liberal leader" will be Thomas Mulcair. Quote

Your stupidity is astounding.... Bob Rae was a Liberal before he was a New Democrat, Stephen Lewis' wife knew he wasn't a real Dipper back in the 80's. Though Rae screwed up as premier he wasn't a hardcore socialist. As well you say Rae is going to stay on as leader till 2014, even though there is a leadership race set for next April with declared candidates so how is that possible exactly? I doubt the NDP and Liberals will merge before the next election, but it's not that surprising. I don't see why you would think Justin Trudeau would join the Conservatives rather than being either the Liberal leader or a member of the NDP. Quote
Fletch 27 Posted June 26, 2012 Report Posted June 26, 2012 Bob Rae was hard core socialist... Right up the ass of the unions.... It hit the "fan" and he jumped for "power" asap.. Justin will do the same... He has the pulse of QC and he KNOWS the NDP are dead... What's his next step? Dats right brother.... The Tories... Justin has had NOTHING but very tempered comments of the Tories... Poliye and frugal.. He's jumpin ship... Rae staying on till 2014 is a questimate... There won't be a single viable candidate... Name one.... Bob Rae will either be interim leaders or "spokesman"... Till the merger... He may be party president...Its all up in the air... Justin aint dumb... No life in the libs, NDP are droppin, he has a career ahead of him... He's jumping ship when the kids are out of diapers and of the tit... Mark my words.. Its about the career... Not policy.... bleeding heart Posted June 27, 2012 Report Posted June 27, 2012 Jack-ass leftist trying to silence another being.... What a forum.. Why, whenever people express disagreement, does a sector of the political Right start screeching about being "silenced"? Though Rae screwed up as premier he wasn't a hardcore socialist.Bob Rae was involved in student politics, a labour lawyer, and a typical NDP activist. Michelle Landsberg was (and still is) a radical leftist. It's worthwhile reading even now the column Rae wrote to justify his departure from the NDP. (His book From Protest To Power is also good.) While Rae's points are still valid, the NDP has shifted to the right in the interim. More importantly however, the NDP now has regional support. Quote
socialist Posted June 27, 2012 Report Posted June 27, 2012 Just-in-credible trudeau will make a great PM some day. i wish he was a ndper though. he knows what human rights are. he speaks for all. plus he is a former teacher and no one more than teachers know the hardships of people. plus he knows a lot about politics and he would make canada the most respected country in the world. his greatness reminds me of obama. both great leaders.
