Topaz Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 I would like the following article for everyone to read and then lets debate the article. I want the Tories supporters to say what isn't true about this article and please let not have personal attacks on this. http://www.calgaryherald.com/news/Ignatieff+protecting+taxpayers/4382143/story.html Quote
M.Dancer Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 I have checked the article and all the punctuation seem correct. Quite true, the Liberals killed the EH-101 contract despite it being the aorcraft favoured by the military and bought 1/2 as many as we need. If the liberals wish to open bidding on a new aircraft to replace the aging fleet, only one new craft will be in the bidding. The F-35. Moonbox Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 I would like the following article for everyone to read and then lets debate the article. I want the Tories supporters to say what isn't true about this article and please let not have personal attacks on this. http://www.calgaryherald.com/news/Ignatieff+protecting+taxpayers/4382143/story.html It's an anecdotal article written by a member of the Liberal Party. It's completely biased. As for what's not true, let's instead look at the balogna in the article. First, he says the Liberals like to cut corporate taxes only when the government is running surpluses. That's fine and dandy, but what happens when they are running deficits? Do you raise corporate taxes when you run deficits, or stick to tax cuts previously made? The idiot goes so far to suggest that it was smart to support tax cuts in 2007 because we were still running a surplus, but that was right before the recession (and subsequent deficits) so I can't understand how this clown's logic could be so selective. As for the F-35, I'm kind of in agreement with him, but that's another story altogether. Mr.Canada Posted March 5, 2011 Report Posted March 5, 2011 It has been proven time and again that the Liberal Party of Canada looks after the Liberal Party of Canada. They only support an agenda that keeps them in power no matter how damaging it is to the country. The Liberal Party of Canada will stop at nothing to gain and keep power, be it stealing, lying and cheating the taxpayer of Canada. Well, if you feel that way about the Liberals than they have something in common with Harper's Tories don't they? The only difference is the Liberals pay off the debt and the Tories create them. It's certainly time for the opposition parties to stop the witch hunt and to start working on the issues that the Canadian people care about. Namely the economy, health care and education. The opposition needs to get to work on discussing these issues instead of the current mudslinging. Canada deserves a better opposition then what is currently being fielded. The current round of clowns doesn't play well together, we should fire the entire lot of them outright at the next election and watch the chips fall where they may. Quote

And the E.I. that Martin shuffled into general revenue to show "balanced" books. Edited March 5, 2011 by Saipan Quote
Michael Hardner Posted March 5, 2011 Report Posted March 5, 2011 I will suggest that we need a better government period. The current round of clowns doesn't play well together, we should fire the entire lot of them outright at the next election and watch the chips fall where they may. We also need to improve ourselves if we want to improve our government. We use, primarily, televistic impressions of the election campaigns to decide how to vote. The mass media, though, is targeted to the broadest audience possible, so the number of facts has to be kept to a minimum to keep peoples' attention.
