Palin is doing just fine...selling books and appearances far and wide. If it's good enough for Oprah, Clinton, or Obama, then she can work it too. Has she peaked? Certainly, but there is more money to be made on the way down. This is very American!

The Canadian and America governments should take care of their soldiers - there should be no need to have benefits to benefit military families...What is this shit? So your argument is that the lack of a specific threat doesn't mean there's no threat? That's absolutely true, but the same could be said of any public event of this nature. That's why they have security precautions, bodyguards etc. and why cancelling an event in the absence of a definite threat is such an unusual move.

If one follows your line of thinking to its logical conclusion, in order to be on the safe side, one would have to never appear in public, an option I strongly suggest Palin consider.
