Bristol Palin is one of the stars dancing on ABC's Dancing with the stars. Apparently, the Tea Party gang who support her mother are also supporting her and they may not be doing it the honest way. In the video, it shows people saying they have found a way to get around the voting firewall-like protection. The actress Brandy is a very good dancer and has has marks 27-29/30 and Bristol's' has been lower but Brandy was voted off and not Bristol. I do like Bristol and I would hope Bristol would tell the Tea Party gang, that if they are doing what has been reported than she would withdrawal because she wants only to win if she is the best dancer and not by flooding of votes from her mothers supporters. It's a reality show. The winner isn't based only on the judges scores. Just like American Idol. They're popularity contests. Anyways, who cares? It's a reality show.

check this out, after all the accusations etc. it seems that the voting has always been that way, but it sounds as if they do have it under control. I would guess they only count the votes for one email from one IP, duplicate emails/votes from the same IP may not count. So there is oversight.

ABC officials stood by its results Wednesday. Though the network doesn't require users to authenticate e-mail addresses, there are safeguards in place to prevent such fraud. (The Times agreed not to divulge the nature of that system for security reasons.)

"We are confident that the checks and balances system, which has been in place since the show's inception, accurately and fairly reflects the sentiment of the show's viewers," the network said in a statement.

As Rush L. said: "The reason they're upset is because they have done their best to make this Palin family persona non grata. They've tried to trash it, besmirch it, impugn it, and the American public is now en masse voting for Bristol Palin." sounds about right to me.

IMO she deserves A+ for going on that show knowing how people would behave, it took a lot of guts.

She's a lovely young woman and certainly the most improved of the lot. She has some of her mum's charisma, and is just overall the most appealing---end of story.

Actually, the divisive politics is coming from the other side. It's not them creating conspiracy theories as to why she's get more votes. It's not them up in arms about her winning.

Yeah. It was about principle: being a role model for those who aspire to celebrity game shows, a pursuit open to everyone.

And I'm positive that the $345 000 was not a consideration.

I am greatly comforted with the Tea Party energy that this issue is pulling away from issues that actually matter.
