Rush Limbaugh's gonna be on this Sunday's episode of Family Guy. Make sure you set up some free time 9pm eastern time to catch it! It's gonna be must see TV for sure. I can't wait. Anyways, here's a sneak preview!

:lol::lol::lol:

Why are you looking forward to this ? I wouldn't look forward to an analyst or political figure showing up in a cartoon, if I respected them. I might even dread it. Maybe Rush is more of a 'personality' to you, like a sportscaster ?

Hey, I've always liked Rush! You have to take him with a grain of salt. He is, after all, a pumped up media figure given to hyperbole. Still, he provides some balance and he CAN be funny! Like anything else, it would be wrong to take his rants as gospel but once in a while he comes out with some zingers!

I stopped listening to him and buying his books because I found him overall to be rather shallow and repetitive but still, I can enjoy catching his show a couple of times a year.

One of his best quotes still sticks with me. "Symbolism over Substance!" when describing many "liberal" values. I see this in Canadian politics all the time. It goes well with my Liberal joke "It doesn't have to work as long as we can say we've got one!"

It's just the techie in me, I guess! :)

"A government which robs Peter to pay Paul can always depend on the support of Paul."

-- George Bernard Shaw

"There is no point in being difficult when, with a little extra effort, you can be completely impossible."

I'm looking forward to it because it looks like it's gonna be hilarious. However, I'm not sure why someone should be less respected because they're asked to participate in a politically themed epsiode of a television show. Your premise is bizarre. Also, lighten up.

Healthy attitude, I'd say. I got sick of Michael Moore when I was in my 20s for the exact same reason... the issues end up being more centred around the person's career as a pundit than anything.

As in... "What can I talk about next ?"

It's not a bizarre premise, if you acknowledge that Rush is primarily an entertainer.

In related news, Noam Chomsky is going to be on "Jackass !"...

So only entertainers can be guests on television programs?

Why would someone look forward to an entire show with an analyst or braniac ?

You didn't answer my question. Can only entertainers be guests on television programs? Also, James Carville has been a guest on Family Guy. Is he a respected analyst or political figure? I'd like for you to answer that question as well.

My answer: no. Anyone or anything can be a guest on a television program.

I think he's a media personality, and was previously a PR type for the Dems.

Rush Limbaugh. Republican right?

Family Guy. Distributed by FOX networks.

I dunno .... I'll watch it, because I like Family Guy, even though it's been kind of meh as of late.

I'd much rather see him on South Park :D.

Caught the epp last night. Overall not bad. Does Rush even know he was being played? Or does it show that Rush does not take himself too seriously. If the latter, then Rush is a joke. :D

It's pretty clear he's in on the joke.

It wasn't a terrible episode, but it lacked real satiric zing. Ultimately, it was yet another episode about Brian's fundamental dumb-assedness: whether Brian is liberal or conservative, he's insufferable and sanctimonious. There was no political/moral insight.

And that's ok, but it's nothing special; it is what it is. I got the idea we were were being lectured to, in a pretty banal way.

As scarce as truth is, the supply has always been in excess of the demand.

Maybe Family Guy is trying out some South Park'esque type material. The Seth's should leave it to Trey and Parker.
