Saipan
Benito Mussolini: “The measures adopted to restore public order are: First of all, the elimination of the so-called subversive elements. ... They were elements of disorder and subversion. On the morrow of each conflict I gave the categorical order to confiscate the largest possible number of weapons of every sort and kind. This confiscation, which continues with the utmost energy, has given satisfactory results.” (address to the Italian Senate, 1931) . Saipan
Not sure what "Mapleleafweb Will No Longer be Actively Maintained" really means but I recall when CBC Forum was closed for "maintenance to improve quality", never to open again. Sympatico Forum closed without warning - too many comments liberals didn't appreciate.

bloodyminded
I'm sure you have "explanation". No, I don't make assumptions about why sites shut down, totally without evidence or knowledge, based on my own politicized beliefs. To you "the left" or "liberals" explains everything that's wrong. Which displays some real hostility to thought and reason.

bloodyminded
You had no explanation. I'm seriously only suggesting that you read posts before you respond to them. I don't believe that's a terrible hardship, nor too much to ask, especially since you retain always a choice: read and respond, or don't bother reading and don't bother responding. PIK
Where are you getting all this indian gun market stuff from? It ain't difficult to get a gun in Canada legally. You just need to pass a test, apply for a permit and register any weapon you purchase. What is so hard about that? That is exactly what we do now, so really you agree we do not need any more gun control, especially the registry? So really all we have to do is allow the police to look at the PAL list to see who has guns, you don't need a 2nd registry, to see what types. If hackers can get into any comp, so why can't they hack the registry to find out who has the guns that are worth alot of money. Did, nt think of that did you? ccen
Apparently no one saw the website http://www.centristparty.piczo.com/?cr=5 on the platform page and saw that if our party was created we are against the long gun registry and we would abolish it but not in the way the conservatives are doing it. We would not be as partisan but would abolish it. We would just abolish it and let it go.

ccen
How is that different from abolishing it? Btw, and "let it go" where? You know Canada has had gun control legislation since the 1930s so what I would propose is wanting to strengthen our current gun control laws and I think we can move on from there. The long gun registry was just to appease the people after the 1989 incident.
Saipan
You know Canada has had gun control legislation since the 1930s 1934 exactly. And from that point on we were always lied to that "only this and nothing more". so what I would propose is wanting to strengthen our current gun control laws and I think we can move on from there. It's strengthened to a breaking point and the criminals still laugh - if thye even know and care about it.

Saipan
Oh, so no one is going to hack anything, but they will hack a gun registry. Buy a TV and watch how Nigerian hackers hack even into North American banks. Or 17 year old hack into Pentagon files. You may also follow Asange case while you're at it. I dont even support the gun registry Please do. They need someone of your wisdom.
