Yeah, that's all that was wrong with the Shah.

He wasn't a brutal murderer and torturer, or anything.

And you're not a sycophantic moral relativist or anything.....

Brutally murdering and torturing the idiots running the show now. I'll try to shed a tear. Nope...just not working.

Ah. Our sweet, sweet puppet was only killing and torturing "Islamofascists," then?

I'll await your evidence for this revelation, while you support tyrants.

Oh yeah...I was cutting the Shah a cheque every week. In the memo line I would write..."for torture purposes only...the more brutal the better."

Dunno...I had an uncle who 'worked' for him in the former Yugoslavia. Hated Jews.

Your uncle is John Demyanjuk(sp)?

Everyone was RICH. That's why we can't remember it...lol.

Until October of '87...

And then the early '90's wake up call...

Kinda like the one we're in now...

Actually muslim extremism really doesnt have much to do with Fascism. The word "IslamoFacism" was coined by people like Christopher Hitchens and Michel Onfray (both hardcore anti religionists) who consider religion in general to be fascist in nature (although you have to wonder if theyve researched the origion of the word).

But its really just misuse of the word. Facism historically referred to a kind of nationalist authoritarian behavior that rejected traditionalism, liberalism, and communism, usually in collaboration with elites, heads of industry etc.

The only real similarity in this case is authoritarianism, and in some cases nationalism.

So maybe IslamoNationalistAuthoritarianism would be more accurate. Or Authoritarian IslamoNationalism. Or NationalistIslamoAuthoritarianism

IslamoFascism caught on though probably cause it rolls off the toungue nicer

Yeah...things sure took a tumble that day in '87. I remember one of the Union heads at one pulpmill commenting to me that it was a good thing the corperate offices were only two floors high...as he puffed on his cigar, chuckling.

Kinda like Ba'Athism, where these radical Islamists learned the thuglike ways of the average Fascist?

Those "ass-hats" don't represents "all Islam", but they do seem to represent a big enough chunk of it to be worried.

You may be worried, I'm not.

Umm... congradulations? You're right though, not many Muslims nor terrorist targets in Gibson's, BC. Not all of us live in a tiny little town that's only accessible by a ferry and has probably, what, 0 Muslims in it?

Why can no one spell congratulations properly? Anyway, where I live has jack shit to do with it. Why should I or anyone be worried about some extremist morons whose biggest threat to the western world can be stopped by locking a door?
