You're right, she may just have gotten a date wrong (the verbal equivalent of a typo)...

However, she was actually given multiple dates... she should have known enough about the recent history and political situation to select which date is correct.

And if she didn't know enough about the situation to get the dates correct, why exactly was she hanging out at any sort of rally? Enough ignorance in the world without someone running around spreading more.

Can you point to where she affirms Israel's imherint right to exist and to defend itself?

I did notice a couple of clangers....

White Phosphorous. The doctors at the hospital didn't know at first why the burns they saw were different during the bombing last December/January. It is an illegal chemical weapon and it was used by Israel on civilians.

Of course WP is neither a chemical weapon or illegal. How she was able to determine that it was used on civilians ....I guess she has a talking toaster...

Actually it isn't well documented...not in the least...the incredibaly small number of civilian casualties that are confirmed inflicted by WP underscores that...despite the brainless accusations from yappers like Davies, WP is not an illegal weapon.

In the very same intereview she makes the 1948 gaff, she talks about using the green line as a starting point for negotiation. She also admits that she isnt very knowledgeable about the history of the conflict.

My take on it is that she is similar to most of the posters on this forum... theyve picked a side in the conflict, and love to go on and on writing thousands of posts, but are basically ignorant of the history or hold various serious misconceptions.

She took up the plight of the palestinians as a pet cause... but you can tell from her blogs, and interviews she really doesnt know much about it at all.

Theres no evidence ANYWHERE that she thinks Israels existance as a state should end. Not a thing.

It has been well-documented by human rights organizations who have investigated the incident and also the Goldstone report that Israel used WP illegally.

So in other words, the only groups that actually knows first hand that Israel didn't use WP illegally are Hamas and the IDF.

There is no way a post fact investigation could conclude one way or another that the Israelis used it illegally simply because targets are mobile...and as far as the Goldstone inquisition, if it was printed on two ply, I would have use for it.
