An unknown, unemployed man who had done no campaigning yet still wins the Democratic election to face a Republican in the fall. Not sure, but I am a little wary of this election. How does a complete unknown win an election without campaigning? And he looks like he is getting the cold shoulder from even the Democrats. You'd think they would be happy about a nobody winning the election, because that would show democracy works. Dunno, this confuses me some. I'll be watching this for the next bit. Could be big. Quote
M.Dancer Posted June 10, 2010 Report Posted June 10, 2010 Dunno, this confuses me some. I'll be watching this for the next bit. Could be big. I have heqard of this fellow who ran for school trustee and number of years ago on a lark. His last name by dint of aphabetical listing put him first on the ballot. He won. He was surprised but not shocked. No one except a small percentage of parents with kids in the school system know who their trustee is....this may have been the case here. His name was 1st on the list or at least, above the party choice. Calls for an investigation have been made suggesting that the unemployed nominee is a republican plant. Never the less, his upcoming felony trial might make that redundant. Quote RIGHT of SOME, LEFT of OTHERS If it is a choice between them and us, I choose us
Michael Hardner Posted June 10, 2010 Report Posted June 10, 2010 the 32-year-old unemployed veteran was arrested last November in Columbia, S.C., for allegedly showing obscene photos to a college student. That's a crime ? Quote Click to learn why Climate Change is caused by HUMANS Michael Hardner

punked Posted June 10, 2010 Report Posted June 10, 2010 I already started this topic. He is a plant. Quote
Shady Posted June 10, 2010 Report Posted June 10, 2010 I already started this topic. He is a plant. Why would he be a plant? It's not like Jim DeMint is any trouble in South Carolina. Anyways. This is a complete train wreck. Here's an interview Greene did with Sheppard Smith on Fox News earlier today. It's more than painful to watch, but highly entertaining. Video Quote

Here's an interview Greene did with Sheppard Smith on Fox News earlier today. It's more than painful to watch, but highly entertaining. Video There was more then one plant in SC there was three. I think we might see some voter fraud in this race yet. You know what I have has some time to reflect on this. If he isn't a plant and is truly a man who wants to change the USA. Then I commend him. An unemployed veteran who lives with parents pinched his pennies and spent every dollar he earned to enter a state primary because he believes in government. I don't think he should win and I am still skeptical but I am happy their are people out there who believe in the system. Edited June 10, 2010 by punked Quote

Shady Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 Crazy seriously almost as bad as Angle in NV Nope. Angle can speak in complete sentences. She's also been in the state government. This dude is just weird. Quote

We wouldn't know because she wont talk to the media for at least weeks according the head of the Republicans Senate campaign. At least Green will do that much. Quote

An unknown, unemployed man who had done no campaigning yet still wins the Democratic election to face a Republican in the fall. Not sure, but I am a little wary of this election. How does a complete unknown win an election without campaigning? By someone screwing with the voting machines. They're highly vulnerable to tampering. I honestly see no other way. I mean, if it was a choice between an anonymous name and a child molester, maybe he'd get 60% for real, but I just don't see it happening any other way. Annabelle Robertson, a columnist on local newspaper The Item, spent two hours with Mr Greene. "He sways from foot-to-foot when you are talking with him. He wrings his hands. He repeats himself. He has key phrases he repeats over and over. He has trouble being too close to people." He is not very articulate, she suggests. "I was surprised he was in intel [uS Army intelligence]. He can barely string two sentences together." Indeed, his sentences are often followed by "erms" and long pauses. Then again, he does have a degree in politics from the University of South Carolina. And he is dismissive of Todd Rutherford, the South Carolina legislator who questioned his mental state. "He is one of the knuckleheads," Mr Greene says, before descending into giggles. Quote "A liberal is someone who claims to be open to all points of view — and then is surprised and offended to find there are other points of view.” William F Buckley

Shady Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 By someone screwing with the voting machines. Nope, it had nothing to do with voting machines. People voted for this guy because nobody knew of him, or the others on the ballot. He was the fist name on the list. This is a great example of why everyone shouldn't be voting. Only informed voters please! Quote
Shady Posted June 20, 2010 Report Posted June 20, 2010 Looks like the Dems have another interesting candidate! Texas Democrats Grapple With Their Own Surprise CandidateSouth Carolina's unexpected Democratic nominee for the US Senate, mystery man Alvin Greene, says he wants to play golf with Barack Obama. But in Texas, another surprise Democratic primary winner, congressional nominee Kesha Rogers, wants to impeach the President Rogers, 33, told TIME she is a "full time political activist" in the Lyndon LaRouche Youth Movement, a recruiting arm of the LaRouche political organization that is active on many college campuses. The LYM espouses LaRouche opposition to free trade and "globalism" (the UN, the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund) and it also calls for a return to a humanist classical education, emphasizing the works of Plato and Leibnitz. Remiel Posted June 20, 2010 Report Posted June 20, 2010 I do not understand what they mean by emphasizing Plato... Emphasizing what about him? He is a great read, and one of the most historically important philosophers, but I would hardly make him the basis of an entire education... Quote
