waldo Posted March 12, 2010 Report Posted March 12, 2010 having shown cause, certainly - if he's given proper notice and receives an appropriate measured payoff... ideally, counseling services should be made available for possible reentry. Moderator action sought, is moderator action received. Sorry, Waldo...I don't know if you're playing off my grammatical error, or if my grammatical error gave the wrong impression. (Either way, I asked for it.) But in case it was the latter: what I meant was that I think it would be good to stop hounding Mr. Canada. I don't mean that as a judgement, because clearly I was one of the circling lions. I'm just feeling a little bad about it, that's all. well... I couldn't help myself. Reading a few of the older posts/statements, re-quoted, certainly provided perspective. Reading the stated purposeful intent to "cause reaction" also provided perspective. Is there a point... that goes too far "in hounding"? Sure there is; however, when the target of the "hounding" keeps coming back in a purposeful manner that doesn't reflect upon a self-proclaimed desire to "remedy the situation", well... "unleash the hounds"! Besides, this thread is too gay, even for Mr. Canada Quote
bloodyminded Posted March 12, 2010 Report Posted March 12, 2010 Would that include not calling him on his far out generalizations, deliberate evasiveness and under achieving accusations? I don't think so. Many of his posts are borderline trolls that often get past the moderators. I don't see anyone attacking him but most are responding to his pathetic point of view, IMO. Sure, I understand. I'm certainly not trying to be holier-than-thou. -than-anyone! Quote As scarce as truth is, the supply has always been in excess of the demand. --Josh Billings

eyeball Posted March 20, 2010 Report Posted March 20, 2010 M.Dancer. I don't understand why you're bullying me but I wish for you to stop please. Please stop bullying me. My account was never banned, I was suspended once last year and have learned my lesson so I'm not sure why you continue to harass and bully me. Just leave me alone if you don't like to speak with me please. I cannot take anymore of the harassment or bullying tactics, please stop...please. If this was the real world I'd be keeping an eye open for people wearing trench coats or camo-gear. jbg Posted August 16, 2010 Report Posted August 16, 2010 I don't think it's a bad idea to lay off of Mr. Canada. The old mob mentality can take over pretty quickly otherwise. Just my 2 cents. Well we have a new person to mob, "Ratio". Let's lay off Mr. Canada. Quote Free speech: "You can say what you want, but I don't have to lend you my megaphone." Maybe for a little while...Ratio is the leftist opposite to Mr.Canada's barely lucid Fascistic rants... I suspect this will be fun for a while... GostHacked Posted August 17, 2010 Report Posted August 17, 2010 My account was never banned, I was suspended once last year and have learned my lesson .... Many of us have never been banned for anything. The mods here don't throw the banhammer down here that often, but when they do, I do believe it was for a damn good reason. I've been warned in the past for using swears on MLW. But never banned. You might want to change your tactic in how you post. Quote

Heck, I was banned 15 times on Rabble (for good), about 10 on dailykos for good), three times on democraticunderground and twice (once for good) on freedominion. I'm too far left for all those forums. Quote Free speech: "You can say what you want, but I don't have to lend you my megaphone." Jack Weber Posted August 19, 2010 Report Posted August 19, 2010 Conservative? I joined this site the day I was banned at Freedominion. And in no way am I a conservative. I sometimes pop in there to see what the loons are jibber jabbering about... What possessed you to think it was a good idea for a nonconservative to post there? Quote The beatings will continue until morale improves!!!
jbg Posted August 19, 2010 Report Posted August 19, 2010 What possessed you to think it was a good idea for a nonconservative to post there?Long story.Roy Wilson and I posted on the CBC board. I'm Jewish and he's of Jewish background. I posted a message "Happy Purim from the J3ws to the non-J3ws", to evade the filtering of the word "Jews" by the CBC Board. Obviously it was an innocuous post. Nevertheless CBC removed the post manually. Following this outrage, I sent an e-mail to Canadian Jewish Congress, and copied a few people on my "global warming" list, including a National Post columnist. He forwarded it to one of their reporters, who e-mailed me. Me and Roy wound up on the phone with the reporter. Someone sent me a link to a copy of the news article as posted on Freedominion. That brought me to the site. Other non-conservatives were there at the time. I lasted from March 10, 2004 to June 26, 2006 with a short intermediate ban in March 2006. charter.rights Posted August 19, 2010 Report Posted August 19, 2010 I lasted from March 10, 2004 to June 26, 2006 with a short intermediate ban in March 2006.
