In the last year of the Bush administration, the monthly job loss numbers built steadily to a peak which then began to reverse itself during Obama's first year.

Unemployment rates can't read. If want to insist that presidents control employment, then Obama can wear his numbers for all to see. I think he said nothing over 8%....LOL!

The article doesn't talk about unemployment rates. It is hard to stop 8% when it is already at 8% when the thing you are passing to stop from going there goes into effect. As soon as Obama gets that time machine he can do things quicker and move bills faster I think.

Nobody forced Obama to open his big mouth and utter "8%"...maybe he meant nothing less than 8%. LOL!

Again look at the graph if the President is the Jobs Czar then Obama stopped the bleeding.

The loss of jobs decreased steadily until unemployment reached 10%. Well, not hard to imagine. Job losses will probably decrease over time unless there is a concerted effort to reach 100% unemployment.

sorry, but I have to call you on this one. Obama pushed the stimulus through the houses without giving time for people to actually read the thing!

Then they get it back to his desk in a big hurry because the economy is at stake and all, and it sits on his desk unsigned for two days because Obama didn't want to delay his weekend away. Talk about hypocrisy.

Then there's the fact that less than 20% of the bill was spent in 2009. Much more is to be spent in 2010, guess what, just in time for the mid-terms. Obama let the economy flounder in 2009 so he could attempt to revive it closer to election time. How arrogant, among other things.

It's bizzare how Bush and Obama are the same guy but one has a better singing voice. One is a creepy corporate Nazi and the other is some sort of strange soviet - as with both of these approaches they always send the big bucks to the elite...Look at the stimulas money and figures generated - to para phrase....10 million sent - creates 5 jobs...a billion infused and it creates 50 jobs. Two million sent and it creates one job.. 9 million tossed into the fire and it creates no jobs..who is fooling who and where is all this money going..pretty soon on one millionth of the population will have all the cash and we will have none.
