I do give them some health food according to TCM. Instead of your non-sense penis, I give them pear, candy that contains mint, and some others when they cough.

Ok - it's not my non-sense penis - it's yours.

TCM benefits of Tiger penis

Chinese medicine in particular contains a high percentage of tiger parts, which are believed to have health benefits ranging from cures for cancer and acne

Do you believe this ? If your teenage children have acne, will you buy western acne medicine, then or buy them "manhood of tiger cream" ? Assuming they're the same price, of course, and that the price of tiger penis doesn't drag on your household.

If not, then how do you trust which TCMs to use and which are "non-sense" ? Do you ask your pharmacist at Shoppers Drug Mart ?

Hunting tiger in China is illegal. Some people in China even complain: if a tiger eat a man, it is just his bad luck, if anyone catch a tiger, he will be arrested.

Not every rumor are TCM.

None of my family has acne because I make them love to eat vegetables and fruits.

I don't majoring TCM. Go to see a TCM doctor, you will find no one will give you your non-sense medication.

You should see the doctor at least once a year for a checkup, bjre as they can detect problems early on - before you are aware of them.

Nah, man. That's what dowsing rods are for.

Thanks for your kindness.

Although they may be able to find problem if I have, even so, then what, ask me to take western medication everyday? after I know so many people be misdiagnosed and mistreated? No. I believe balanced health food and sports. I believe my own feeling. Then why I need to see a doctor for detecting? I am so happy with myself and I enjoy the life without a doctor. I am happy that I need not to use my amount of tax dollars and insurance dollars, I hope I can never use it.

You can always get a 2nd opinion, even from a traditional chinese doctor. Doctors can use blood tests, MRI machines, processes and equipment not available to you.

YOu may be happy, but do think about your family too. Your decisions have consequences with them.

If you like to give the control of your own health to another one, I have nothing to say. I won't.

You never give control to another person, unless they have power-of-attourney over you.

It's your choice, bjre, but be smart and reduce the risk - go get a checkup. You don't have to listen to the results if you don't like them.

When people deposit their money in a bank, maybe most of them don't realize that they have given the control of their money to the banks----the banks will invest their money in something, that's where the interest the banks will pay them comes from, and their money might totally lose because of the mistake of the bankers---just as we have seen from this financial crisis.

But people have to use banks, because not all people have the talent and time to wallow in the stock exchanges of Wall Street. People also need governmental supervising on their food and medicine, because not all of them are doctors or chemists.

Just like people can use bank while they can also invest in stock market, people need hospitals while they also should have freedom to access alternative health solutions.

The only culture allowed in Canada now is any culture that isn't from the UK. UK culture is now frowned upon and even hated. Culture from any third world country is heralded as wonderful as long as no white people are involved it's great.

Don't know which UK culture is frowned and/or hated.

Never seen a list of that.

If the UK culture is hated, why the most important language here is English?

The secu-socialists are already beginning to stamp that out as well. Very soon one of the Indian languages will become Canada's third official languages.

They should have the freedom. But "alternative" health care providers should not be allowed to make absurd claims about what they do, and until something has actually been demonstrated to work via double blind studies, public dollars should not be used to pay for them. Other than that, if you think massaging your feet will cure depression, go to it.

"Tested", "Scientific" western medicine are safe?

Now, we have this:

Drug deaths now outnumber traffic fatalities in U.S., data show

September 17, 2011|By Lisa Girion, Scott Glover and Doug Smith, Los Angeles Times

Propelled by an increase in prescription narcotic overdoses, drug deaths now outnumber traffic fatalities in the United States, a Times analysis of government data has found.

Drugs exceeded motor vehicle accidents as a cause of death in 2009, killing at least 37,485 people nationwide, according to preliminary data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

While most major causes of preventable death are declining, drugs are an exception. The death toll has doubled in the last decade, now claiming a life every 14 minutes. By contrast, traffic accidents have been dropping for decades because of huge investments in auto safety.

Public health experts have used the comparison to draw attention to the nation's growing prescription drug problem, which they characterize as an epidemic. This is the first time that drugs have accounted for more fatalities than traffic accidents since the government started tracking drug-induced deaths in 1979.

Bjre - this is indeed shocking, however... some things to note.

I believe that traffic deaths have been on a long slow decline as safety features continue to be introduced. I don't have a link for this, it's from memory.

The other thing to point out is that although we're talking about "prescription" narcotics, they are not being taken correctly. These are prescription drugs that are being abused.

I understand you're new to Canada. I was born here 50 odd years ago and as far as I'm concerned Canada is a democracy of sorts but only in a very primitive way. We're still using the same basic system to vote and governance that we've had since the horse and buggy era. Its advanced state of senescence is apparent in its increasing opacity and inability and unwillingness respond to what its citizens tell it.

What's really sad is that more of its citizens seem to think this is a good thing. I guess most of them are getting kind of old and set in their ways too.

Our ways are a good thing, I don't want to have to change goverments every year or two ,nor do I want the fringe groups to have any power in this country. We have it so good here ,but yet people want to change to something that does not work.

Toronto, like a roach motel in the middle of a pretty living room.
