kimmy
It's not even loading... but if it's that one with the "socialism" caption that's been going around, then it's just stupid. As I mentioned previously, if you wanted to make a Joker-themed anti-Obama poster you need to go with "Do I really look like a man with a plan?" -k Quote (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ Friendly forum facilitator! ┬──┬◡ノ(° -°ノ)

JB Globe
It's not stupid, or racist. It's brilliant. Why is it brilliant? The Joker character in Dark Knight is an agent of chaos, meaning that the closest economic system you could use him to symbolize is anarchy - but even that isn't entirely accurate because anarchy is basically swapping centralized organization for local organization - it's still not chaos. Where people got the Joker=Socialism idea is beyond me. I mean, in the movie the guy burned that stack of money - he didn't keep it and spread it amongst the people. Moonlight Graham
whether its racist or not i think depends on the intent of the person who made the poster. As well the intent of the poster's meaning to those who use it. I agree with other people here, the poster doesn't make much sense, other than The Joker being a villian. And the person who made the poster did it to prove how dumb the right wing are. The person who made is a Dennis Kucinich supporter he didn't do it becuase he thinks obama is a radical he did becuase he thinks he isn't radical enough. But don't worry Shady knows that and supports Dennis Kucinich too. HAHAHAHAHAHA

I didn't interpret it as the Joker = Socialism. Here's why it's brilliant... Because the joke, is on the voters. They didn't vote for all this crap. They didn't vote for Obama to take over banks, and auto companies, and healthcare. They didn't vote for 700 billion dollar pseudo-stimulus packages that are really just spending bills on larger government. They didn't vote for trillion dollar deficits as far as they eye can see. And they didn't vote for a President to go around the world apologizing for how bad their country is, in many cases to dicators and tyrants of countries ten times as worse. But, what would we expect from an Administration that claimed, from the beginning, "NEVER LET A CRISIS GO TO WASTE." You say the Joker is an agent of chaos? Well so is Obama. The more chaos, and the more panic, the more he can implement radical leftwing ideas that nobody voted for. It's brilliant. They may not have voted for his radical left wing ideas as you put it, but besides that they also didn't vote for George Bush to hold hands with his friends in Saudi Arabia, probably the worst country in the world when it comes to dictatorship and tyranny. If you think the president would only hold hands with nice people you're naive. It's not about liberty, it's about whose side you're on. If the country cooperates with America, it's never a problem about human rights. What else didn't you vote for. I didn't vote for Afghanistan. I didn't vote for the bailout of Canadian banks, or the stimulus package that mysteriously cured our ecomonic problems without spending it. Something tells me, even if I did or didn't vote for these things, they's gnna happen anyway
Shady
they also didn't vote for George Bush to hold hands with his friends in Saudi Arabia Did they vote for Obama to bow to his friends in Saudi Arabia? I didn't vote for Afghanistan. Well, unfortunately, 911 happened, and it was necessary to remove the Taliban and Al Qaeda from their safe-haven. I didn't vote for the bailout of Canadian banks Good, cause there was no bailout of Canadian banks. Our banks are in good shape. or the stimulus package that mysteriously cured our ecomonic problems without spending it. I wouldn't characterize our economic problems as cured. But they've certainly improved. And I agree, government stimulus is way over-hyped, and usually not necessary, because before large bureaucracies can spend that type of money, economies have usually recovered. Moonlight Graham
Good, cause there was no bailout of Canadian banks. Our banks are in good shape. Because of those darn "big-government", "anti-capitalist" bank regulations and oversight. Shady
Because of those darn "big-government", "anti-capitalist" bank regulations and oversight. And/or good smart business management, and no government intrusion into the mortgage market, forcing banks to lend to unqualified people under the guise of 'affordable housing.' Sir Bandelot
Err... maybe some of you folks have bad memories but I do not. It only came down to semantics, the definition of "bail out". http://www.cbc.ca/money/story/2008/10/10/flaherty-banks.html The federal government's $25-billion takeover of bank-held mortgages to ease a growing credit crunch faced by the country's financial institutions is not a bailout... Anyway we argued that one enough, eh... lets leave the doublespeak to the politishans

They didn't vote for all this crap. They didn't vote for Obama to take over banks, and auto companies, and healthcare. The bank takeovers and auto bailouts/takeovers/selloffs started before Obama was elected, and I do seem to recall health care being very large during the election. If someone missed the part where Obama was campaigning for some form of universal health care, that means they basically fell asleep about two years ago and just woke up now.
